Looks good, works well.

Looks good, works perfectly. It would be better if the helmet ring latch was spring loaded to close, but that's a minor inconvenience. This is the second one I've bought so now it's easy to close the two lids. I replaced the disposable machine screws with stainless steel torx screws.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No instructions

However, like some others

Used in the passenger seat, works perfectly. However, like some others, I didn't use permanent screws so I can move them around if needed. My only complaint is that I have to use the key to lock it, wish it would just close and latch. Still five stars.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Some little things

Excellent quality for this money!

Super easy to install! Excellent quality! The screws are unidirectional pan head screws so make sure you position them where you definitely want them before installing them (otherwise it will be difficult to move them later). Chrome seems to be of good quality. The durability will show first impression: very satisfied! worth your money!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So-so

Chrome lock for security

Goes well with the National Cycle chrome guard. It mixes well too. It will be difficult to remove as it comes with one-sided security bolts. Just make sure you install it in the right place before tightening it. Tips: Make sure the lock is fully inserted before turning the key to ensure it is secure as you can turn the key without locking it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

Great lock for Harley

This is good for bikes without a helmet lock. I have replaced the fastener with standard socket head cap screws in case I want to move it to a different location or simply adjust its position on the roll bars. If you really want to, you can of course remove the screws. However, if I were to use the security screws, they would only have to remove my roll bars, then I would have no helmet and no roll bars. As others have said, the lock does not lock without a key, hence the four stars. . Helmets…

Disappointing and defective

As others have pointed out there are some issues with this lock. This is a PIA that allows you to lock your helmet with both hands, with one to lock the latch and the other to turn the key. If you have experience with a lock that only clicks, you will be very annoyed with how this lock works. I tried what others suggested and I'm glad I did. I bought regular mounting screws from Ace Hardware to try different mounting locations. Unfortunately, one of the mounting holes on the clasp that secures…

Do not use single ended/tamper resistant screws

Good product for the price, hard to find a place to mount that isn't near a hot engine or muffler. Pros = price, easy installation, nice chrome finish. Cons = DO NOT use tamper proof screws. You only get one chance to attach it to the bike, and when you finally use it, you'll have to use a "disposable screw extractor" (aka EXPENSIVE, a special screwdriver you'll most likely only use once) to extract it to remove or loosen them to adjust them. I used needle-lock pliers that worked to grab the…
