Completely satisfied

Much easier to install than I expected and probably saved a few hundred dollars and the hassle of shipping it to the repair shop. Troubleshooting to determine if it was the motor took longer, but replacing that motor alone is satisfying. Just be careful as mentioned in several reviews, save the motor shaft gear and spacers and secure the steps when removing the failed motor. Otherwise the stages will close when the motor is removed.

Highly recommended. good for body work

I had to purchase this for my 2007 Allegro Bus steps and while I can't vouch for everything I was politely surprised at how easy it was to install. I just unscrewed the steps completely, three screws removed the old motor, plugged in the DC plug, plugged the DC plug back in, plugged back in, three screws, fuck, done, works like a charm. Easiest damn thing I've ever done to my bus and it's an exact brand match on an existing engine that has given me eight good years.

Mating connector not included

This motor was purchased as a Revain recommended package with gearbox 379160 for the 32 speed Kwikee series. The engine was shipped with an incompatible connector mounted directly on the engine. No pigtail or mating connector. The plug from the old motor controller does not fit. The original shifter arm is broken, hence the new "improved" shifter with a new arm. The steps are inherently dangerous because they rotate when you try to climb them. The jury has to build something because the caravan

Easy RV Motorhome Side Stand Replacement/Repair

Kit arrived on time and installation was quick. The dealer priced the stage repair at over $500 and I suspect they were planning on just replacing the entire assembly. Videos online suggest the exchange was problematic, but it wasn't. We encourage anyone who owns this RV step model to have a spare motor assembly on hand. In addition, the gear assembly in the main mechanism can also fail, creating a step that does not fully retract and producing a characteristic noise. This gear can also be…

Jayco Greyhawk is perfect for AM Motor Kwikee Steps

Jayco Greyhawk has a Kwikee "double step" with an AM 214-1001 2G16 electric motor. I spent hours looking for a replacement by reading blogs, contacting Jayco, AM and kwikee, and calling three camping worlds in Virginia as a last resort. This engine worked. Three hex nuts and replace them! Twenty minutes maximum. CW didn't have any vacancies, they waited months, so they ordered it here and fixed it in two days. We're lawyers and nurses, not do-it-yourselfers, and we got it done with no rush. The

Worked like a champ!

Kwikee Series 32 steps on a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain DP. The stair collapsed at the start of our last trip. I could tell from the noises that the engine and gearbox had burned out (at one stop, I pulled up the stairs pretty hard and heard the gears engage - oops). I've tried tapping on the motor case and a few other options but to no avail. I almost ordered a whole new staircase, but. After reading reviews and other research I decided to just replace the motor. FYI - I didn't remove the "Gear…

I repair RVs so I see a lot of those repairs. Here is some information to help you. This motor has worked great for my client Kwikee Step. exactly the same as the old one. My step "skips" the rise and keeps working when fully retracted until you unplug the power cord. so i had 2 problems: 1) the torque coupling in the motor housing broke so i needed this motor, and 2) the spur gear that goes on the shaft of this motor broke a tooth (the spur gear only comes with the pinion/linkage shown below)…
