Had to make my own to add strength

Cross member started to bend at the center screw. This is a weak point as there is a hole in the pole. I had to clamp a 1/4" elbow over the bar to provide extra strength.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

May work well if the rotors are not rusty.

Fits my rotor but started to bend when I used the maximum torque available. The rotors became rusty and eventually had to use the caliper mounting holes to drive bolts into the rotor to force them out with an air tool. I will try it on my quad as a standard puller.

A quality tool sold by a quality company.

I needed this puller to remove the drums from my tractor. The drums are nearly 17 inches in diameter. I don't have much experience with pullers since disc brakes are so common, but this tool worked well. It's durable, well made in the USA, and backed by a very reputable company.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to say

Waste of money on puller sets

I was concerned that the 1" square shank was strong enough so I added class 8 screws to the sides of the 1/4" shank, to reinforce the drum it. On the 2nd reel I pulled the 1" shaft broke on the threads, an obvious weak point. And yes, I used paint thinner, heat, and a hammer. waste of money.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Nothing for really stubborn drummers.

A bit awkward to use. A 7/16" wrench is required to turn the screw, which does not provide much leverage. I've used a cocking tube on a wrench to get the leverage needed to pull a particularly hard puller, but that's not the correct use. Unfortunately, impact tools cannot be used with this particular puller.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

This will get the job done with a little modification.

Works as expected. My next step was a blowtorch. Luckily, it got the job done in minutes. I had to shorten the stock a bit so my low flared part could bite better. For some reason there is a long empty space before the bushing goes into the joint nut, it's useless, just cut it off. I won't complain, I'm happy.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Damaged

Good price for a quality product that WORKS!

Worked great for removing the rear drums on a 2007 Dodge Dakota. Tried 3 different ones. Loan parts on site and nothing worked except this tool! Before this tool, it was always difficult to make our cars. Saves a lot of time and nerves. Would buy it again! Now one of our friends wants to borrow it. It is highly adjustable so it can be used on many different vehicles.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Worked well for me, good for puller kits

After reading the reviews of this tool I followed the advice given and followed the instructions. Have a good sledgehammer for the drum and some high pressure grease for the threads. I used Sta-Lube Sta-Plex Extreme Pressure Grease. Tighten it and hit the drum with a sledgehammer, then tighten it more firmly. You can feel the tension release as you tighten the threads. Removed bass drums from a 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 that had sat for 30 years. Nothing I tried worked before this tool.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

She is a beauty! - Puller sets

The thing WORKS. I am a family mechanic working part time in a workshop. I've used the hammer and torch method to remove rotors on dozens of vehicles with no problems. until I had to remove the rear rotors from my 16 year old F150 for 300,000. It had original rear brakes. Think I think my girlfriend is right, I drive like a grandpa haha. Somehow these suckers were there. It was like a show your strength game at the carnival, 6 different neighbors took turns with 6 pound sleds to smash those…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
