Description of Made In The USA! American Filament American Red AF PLA 3D Printer Filament

PLA Plastic (Polylactic Acid): the most commonly used 3D printer material due to its ease of use, affordability, and favorable mechanical properties. AF filament is produced using corn-based resin from American farms. Dimensions: 1kg (2.2lbs) of Filament Per Spool with a Diameter of 1.75mm (Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05mm), Spool has an ID=2-3/8", OD=8", and is 2.5" wide. Recommended Settings: Nozzle Temperature 195 - 215 °C, Bed Temperature 50-70 °C, and PEI or Buildtek beds are recommended for best printing results. Packaging: All AF spools are vacuum sealed with a desiccant packet to protect plastic filament from moisture. Quality guaranteed!.

It is very good quality

Really good filament to be honest. It actually works like PLA Plus. Very strong and the grip on the bed is amazing. I am very happy with this thread. There was a hole in my pannier, but I used the filament dryer for an hour and was done. I printed in purple and now I'm trying blue. Not sure what the difference is, but the blue isn't as shiny and has a different feel. Blue honestly feels better and my first coat is absolutely flawless. Blue is also easier to wind on the spool. Great product from a great company!

I ordered a gunmetal gray steel look and it looks fantastic! I entered 205 for the hotend and 50 for the bed, everything works fine. .and how fitting that American Filament included a postcard showing the landing of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy boosters. Wound too tight won't unwind

So I ordered two spools of this filament, not that I really needed it but wanted to support the creator of the Lithophane website. This week I decided to use it for two fairly large projects that would take around 24 hours to complete. After I started working on projects, I came back a few hours later to find the print head was hanging an inch or two above my project and the filament was spooling and mostly coming out of the feed mechanism.
