Love and Hate in 3D Printing Supplies

MakerBot be damned. They make regular 3D printers and regular filament. Not bad overall, but not top quality either. But the price is too high. "Your price is too high, you need to lower it" Apart from the price, no complaints. It doesn't jam and prints normally with the correct settings.

Pros
  • The Best, Strongest PLA Filament for your MakerBot 3D Printer
Cons
  • No Instructions

Very controversial and needy

I don't know this filament. I have a Creality Ender 3 Pro with a magnetic disk. I printed a thermal cooling tower (google it) and it seems to work fine at around 220C and I needed a 65C layer with a glue stick. It was very inconsistent in my prints. I'm still trying to tweak the settings but acne and hair are pretty common but not a deal breaker. You shouldn't be doing it anyway. I can try adjusting the retraction settings, but I won't suggest buying these.

Pros
  • Compatible with MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer, MakerBot Replicator Z18 3D Printer, MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer and MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Other

Shrinkage and lack of adhesion

You would think that with a higher quality branded plate you would see superior print adhesion. This gives the same performance as the press, except the temperatures aren't as high. The material shrinks immediately after the first layer and the corners don't seem to stick. After 6 hours and 5 failed prints I call it junk. I had a lot better luck with the assholes and the overture than this one. At first it reminded me of hate box brands how the role felt. But no, nothing like that.

Pros
  • Extensive quality testing at 100 and 200 micron layer resolution
Cons
  • Fading
