Decent stereo. The sound is sometimes interrupted.

I really liked this stereo. Sound quality is good and my cheap Boss speakers sound great. It has a 3 channel EQ which is average for car stereos but 3 LOUD settings boost the bass. It has a subwoofer with adjustable filters, so I'm looking forward to hooking up the bazooka to it. The display is adjustable, so you can customize the colors and brightness to your liking. Other Pioneers make it easier to customize the colors with more presets, but I had trouble matching the colors to my dashboard…

Took about three weeks. . .

Worked well the first time it was installed, but the bezel became difficult to remove soon after, which is important when you drive a roadster and go to the shop for a minute and get dressed I don't want to lock the top. The display was crappy upside down, 100% blurry. The small, cheap Bose stereo supplied by the OEM could be seen with the top down, but not this one. Bluetooth worked, but there was a significant difference in volume between the receiver and Bluetooth. Because of this, Bluetooth

Great CD Free Device for Car Stereo

UPDATE: This unit is having major Bluetooth issues with my iPhone 6S after 18 months of use. I also have a working Samsung S4 which it doesn't work with either. Total crap - I'm using the Jabra Bluetooth speaker on my sun visor again. Just got this device and I am very happy with it. I will never use CDs again so this device is perfect for me. Here are a few notes: - The sound quality is excellent - the subwoofer control and high pass filter help this unit sound really good. The 6-band…

Best buy local store with guarantee

b4 these. it took a few months, b4 had problems. So, a few quick thoughts on that. 1. too expensive for what it is. 2. The screen can be difficult to see in bright sunlight. 2a. Why do these manufacturers put a glossy reflective screen on top of the stereo? in which situation does it make sense? 3. The instructions are possibly the worst I've seen. 3a. it might have been easier to follow them if they had been read in their native language, which I suspect they were written in. simply organized…

I LOVE THIS HEAD!

I love this stereo! I'm an audiophile by nature, so I'm very picky about what I use for car stereos. I'm used to professional competition. Far from it, but absolutely perfect for my needs! I use it in my home stereo at work. As a contractor, I've found that all stereo systems on the market lack many of the features we all want, with the main issue being sound quality. So after years of wasted money and frustration I decided to build my own. It does not have a CD player and therefore takes up…

  • boring packaging

My first Pioneer deck!

Replaces 6-7 year old Kenwood Excelon. Even though I've had this deck for almost a decade, there were still options in the settings that I had no idea what they did or meant. Over-complexity was an understatement at Excelon. It's almost the complete opposite. You don't have to be a sound lover to understand what the settings mean. The sound quality is excellent. Some people have warned me about 2V pre-outs, but really. I don't notice any difference. General. If everything is set up correctly…

Great sound, good settings, works great!

I bought this to replace a 3 year old Kenwood head unit that had USB and Bluetooth on the rear and had a broken display. Since the display cost the same as this receiver, I decided to buy a new one. In any case, this device is great. Don't be fooled by some of the Mixtrax functional graph reviews. Menu lets you turn off Mixtrax blinking, very easy to set up, has lots of power (much better sound quality than my Kenwood and seems louder), 5 band EQ, bass boost, subwoofer etc... everything works…

Pros
  • While satisfied
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Competent head unit

For the last ten years I have used almost exclusively Pioneer products in my cars. I say "almost" because I've worked with other manufacturers a few times - Alpine, Sony and Company - but always come back to Pioneer for the quality and ease of use. So when I realized that I now mostly listen to digital media and not physical media, this head unit was the logical choice. Overall I'm very pleased, but let me put it in Pro/Con/Note format. Pros: + Appearance: Recently, Pioneer is moving in the…
