I bought these road bike pedals that I attach to a stationary spinner. It is convenient to just stop on the pedals without having to put on and fasten shoes without clips. This is clearly a Fake Raceface Chesters, but that's bad if you doubt it. They're cheap, work great, and are insanely grippy. I have 2 bikes with Bontrager Line pedals that are over $50 and I really like them. These pedals have the exact same platform and pin layout, but more interesting color options. They held up well last season and time will tell if they will be as good as my lines, but in fact I could buy them twice for the same price. Pedals are advertised as 4.45 inch wide platforms. The ones I received were just under 4 inches wide. See photo. So this is disappointing. Also, the pedals turn too freely right out of the box. This does not inspire confidence in durability. The pedals must take some time to spin that easily. Compared to some of the Raceface Chesters I have here they feel too light in the axle area and I can imagine they will fail prematurely. These pedals appear to be clones of the Bontrager Line Elite pedals.

They are great in many ways. 1- They are not minimalistic in size like many dumb bike contraptions. I can center my 10 1/2 US size on the pedals. 4 1/2 inches wide for the platform. 2 colors! 3- They match plain leg straps. Remove the cleats from one side and I have lightning fast leg exit (unlike the rat traps I've been using for over half a century). Be sure to purchase belts with a platform length of 4 1/2 inches for belts. I have a strong serve and without straps I only drive at half power.

They look good when you open the box. The "tar" felt solid and real, not a pile. The thread and the processing of the spindle is very good. I destigmatize, deburr, clean, oil and polish or paint almost every piece I buy. The left foot had a wobble of 0.2 mm (play). So I tuned both - everything looked just as finished on the inside as it did on the outside! Even lube is good for a few miles. Very cool.
