I am considering a SECOND set of these bulbs after replacing the first set under warranty. Exchange is another problem that took a lot of pictures and emails to solve. Anyway, this set has the same problem as the first set. It is absolutely impossible that they are IP68. By definition, this means they are dustproof and waterproof to a depth of at least 1 meter. I guess that doesn't mean they're impervious to rain or spray. Now I'm looking for similar flashlights that are really waterproof.

These flashlights are very bright for their price and size. I bought 2 pairs. One pair to replace the fog lights on my Silverado and another pair for my mini bike and dirt bike. The first headlight on my mini bike had condensation after I pressure washed it, so on the next pair I got for my truck, I took some Alex plus sealant and sealed the seam on the lens and around the power cord. I used a pair of these for the backup lights on my Jeep Wrangler. They look great, with a low profile on the rear bumper so the tailgate opens above them. I took another reviewer's advice and sealed them with silicone before installing. Have walked through mud, torrential rain etc and they have not leaked or condensed. My biggest complaints about this product: 1) I received my first pair of lamps and one lamp glowed warm and the other glowed cold (white vs yellow )2) THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS WATERPROOF. I got another lamp from the seller and it quickly condensed and I ended up sticking it in rice to try and save it. Nice bright lights I bought for my pontoon, one for the bow and one to moor my boat at night. They give some light. It's solid light, not flimsy plastic junk. And I can really attest to their low battery consumption. I bought them rocker switches without thinking that they were supposed to be waterproof. They are fine. They're quite bright, not as bright as I expected, but I think that's because they're more "flooded" and scattering too much light instead of concentrating it where I want the light to be. If they are 30 degrees like others say (vs. 60 degrees for a tide) to me it's not a 'spot' but still a tide (i.e. narrow tide vs. wide tide).
