Mike's Bikes Kenmore

The most commonly used sockets in a beautifully shaped tray. Sized to match a standard 3/8" wrench. I was initially a bit concerned about the cost but they seem to fit well with the general bike shop. Well thought out length (reach) of various components, likely needs. Would buy them again and am very picky about my tools I think Park made the right choice and I have many of their instruments Mike Kirwan - Kenmore, Washington.

  • Ideal for a small home

The main difference between this set and the extended one.

The main difference between this set and the Park Tool socket and bit set is the longer bits. All Torx bits (25, 30, 40) are extended and this set replaces 11mm and 12mm sockets with extended 5mm and 6mm hex bits. It also has "regular" 5mm and 6mm hex bits. They are all 3/8". Sockets: 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15mm and 1" Long Torx Bits: T25, T30, T40 Long Hex Bits: 5, 6, 10mm Regular Hex -Bits: 3, 4, 5, 6. 8mm

Is the box like a suitcase? Is it a parking tool?

Appears to be well made, but is it really a box like a suitcase? I keep a wide range of Park Tools in my garage "bike shop" as the quality is excellent and the bonus is they look good too. I think this box can easily be slipped into a tool box drawer, but I was expecting at least a good plastic power case. Well, Park Tool cuts corners like most companies do these days, hopefully don't cut the corners with the bits.

Best with TW 5.2 and 6.2

This kit is a home repair kit that will come in handy when you need a socket and bit for your Park Tool TW. Although it has its own molded tray it would be far better to have a decent storage box. But I don't mind much. Overall the quality is great, the fit is perfect, the extended hex is really useful, and you have a 1" socket that fits a variety of Park Tool freewheel tools, cassette retainer and bottom bracket. when you need it. Thank you ParkTool

Two bits used and broken!?

I literally opened the sealed box leading me to believe these were brand new factory bits. At first his cardboard and parts fell everywhere. Anything that makes the injury worse. T30 bit used, edges affected. Screw T25 DEFECTIVE! At first glance, the T25 bolt looked a bit short, but on closer inspection I found that it was deformed and completely broken. Then I found another bit that turned out to be used. I would prefer to take the bits, now I have to change the whole box. These are not high…

If you are interested in quality control.

My set has two T30's and no T40's. One of the T30s was marked T40. I spent $ to have this mailed to the park along with a short letter saying they should review their quality control. They sent me back the right bit but nothing else. No letter, no comments, no personal favors. It would be better to only spend the shipping cost on a new racket. In hindsight, I should have just returned the set because, in addition to the poor quality control, ballless bits are too limited. For example, if you're
