Not quite right. for spare parts

Image does not match this product. It's definitely a tie rod end puller, not a slider. However, the puller is what you would expect. The only problem I have is that the device is too small for my application. I tried using it on a 2004 Cavalier. It's not a big machine by any means, but the tool doesn't stretch out enough to fit inside. Even if I unscrew the adjustment screw all the way it still wouldn't fit. The tool is really very good quality, but I haven't been able to test it. I will test…

Works as described.

So I tried replacing the shock absorbers on my car, but came across tie rods that were so tight they seemed to stick to the shock body. When it wasn't possible to beat him to death with a hammer, I decided to arm myself with more appropriate tools. Jumped onto Amazon and found this. Worked on an Audi A4 B5

I bought this to press the ball joint in the front left lower rear wishbone (aka the control rod) in an Audi A4 B5. The hole in this tool was too narrow to fit all the way in, but I managed to get enough contact area on the tips to be successful on my second try. I followed the advice of others - I pulled this tool and hit the control lever several times with an ordinary hammer.
