Pliers Removal Installation Ring Type Flat Band Review

These are good if you need to remove the clamp. Would give 5 stars but there is only one problem. They need to be a bit more compact to fit in the places you want them to be. Just a little long for me.

Pliers needed, small enough to fit a 3/8" fuel line into a tight spot on my Polaris Ranger fuel pump. Worked great. I didn't really like the pliers, but I didn't like them either. They got the job done but if I had to do it again I would buy a different type. They were a bit tricky to operate with one hand as they are not spring loaded in the open position. I think if they were I would have no complaints. It is worth finding such a set and spending a few euros more if necessary.

For literally years I struggled routinely servicing my cars with pliers and a spring clamp vise attached to the radiator hoses. I'm getting older and it's getting harder and harder to articulate with pliers to fold the spring clips. Eventually I broke down and bought a set of these hose clamp pliers and couldn't be more impressed. My only regret is that I didn't buy them many years ago.

This is not a must have tool. You can live and work in your car without it. But now that I have it and use it all the time, I couldn't live without it. The locking feature opens the clamps and holds them in the open position, allowing you to remove the hose with both hands. In addition, the handle is perfectly shaped and rotatable, allowing the clamps to be opened at any angle. I should have bought this a long time ago and could have saved myself a lot of trouble.

This is a tool with a special design feature. As such, it does what it's supposed to do brilliantly. I bought mine because I needed it for a renovation and it was cheap enough to buy. Just a small complaint that cost me a star - the serrated end of the pliers is rotatable which you need to orient it at any angle you can grip the clamp. First they sold me what looks like used pliers. It's covered in fat! The claw and handle have chips and abrasions. The washers holding the jets are not strong. It's not even a full wash! Your attachments will slip! Of course you can say that these are replacement tips, but what's the point if they are poorly finished and fall out of the tool?
