FD&C Red #40, Blue #2 and Propylene Glycol :(

This is a fun addition to our parrot cage. However, I wish they would use natural dyes instead of FD&C #40 Red and Blue 2 Some flavors contain Propylene Glycol as a "natural flavor" which we didn't realize until after purchase. I avoid these ingredients for my kids and pets so I won't be buying them again until the ingredient list is cleared.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Some Complications

AMAZING product, durable

My cockatiel sits on it every night and in the month and a half I've never had a nightmare. She only recently understood that it's tasty, so she bites from time to time. Her claws appear to be in good condition and I suspect she will bite more when the urge arises. Wouldn't recommend more highly, all types of parrots can benefit from having one of these perches in their cage!

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Reliable and good nail file

Excellent perches for parrots of all sizes. The thickness is excellent for grasping a bird. Cannot exceed value. My perch don't chew, but things other than paper don't chew much. After eating, they rub against it with their beaks. I bought perches mainly for the calcium and toenails, but apparently my birds love perches too much not to chew them. I would recommend! I haven't tried cockatiels or parrots, I assume they will really like these groupers.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • No

My BlueFront loves these perches!

This is a large size for medium sized parrots like Blue Forehead, Yellow Nape, African Gray etc. My parrot is quite picky and after 12 hours he knew perch. It is quite difficult and requires some work to get rid of. I've already had a good month and it still has some work to do. I see my parrot eating it everyday which is good for taking some time and giving your parrot some calcium. Bought two more to keep in reserve! Great perch for your money!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I don't remember

Conure can't stop eating it

My conure loves it. We have a pale green color and it's a big hit. In fact, he loves it so much right now that he doesn't eat breakfast. She's been in his cage for a week now, but he's only become obsessed with her for the past 24 hours. I hope he returns to a more balanced diet soon. So far he hasn't touched his beak conditioner or squid so I think this gives him the opportunity to trim his beak while having fun, not to mention the nutritional value. I will definitely buy this again.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • poorly thought out

My parrots love this stuff.

I think the original flavor I got was strawberry. So when I tried a new flavor, I ended up with Traube. My birds cut strawberries numb, literally down to the metal post they are made on. The old one was a little smaller than this one so I took a little more so maybe they don't fight as much when they see who gets on it and they all can as it's longer than the small version. I will update the results. I also bought kiwi flavor so we'll see if it's flavored.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Upgrades available

Would I buy again from Perches

One of my budgies is having trouble keeping up with his beak. I wanted to buy him something to eat to see if that would help. I already have some hug bones, half of which he ignores, and other perches he can use. It took our two whales a month to figure out that the big purple monster wasn't going to eat them, but now they use it every day. I hide some seeds in the holes to encourage them to pass. No smaller sizes were available at the time of purchase. It's a bit big for them, but they love…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Only available in white

The birds love it, I don't like the ingredients.

My birds love this perch! I had one in their cage (they took off the inside with a screw so it broke) and I have another one outside that they hang from. My 2 male cockatiels and a male zebra finch take turns hanging out on it when running free so it's definitely a hit with the bird world. One thing I find really fun for birds is to place small millet seeds in perch holes as they like to forage for their own food. The downside of perch is that I still don't quite know how to clean it. Luckily…

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Tape
