File system corruption after a few minutes of use

I finally tested it extensively and I'm tired of it. Again and again I pretended to have a badly copied picture or a weak power supply. The Zheino mSATA I use works fine over USB, but EVERY time I use it connected through this X850 expansion card I have a few minutes of work before the system ALWAYS crashes resulting in filesystem corruption. Again, note that Pi3 B+ and Zheino mSATA card work fine as long as Geekworm X850 V3.0 USB3.0 card is NOT used. I lost $28 to these guys and I can't afford

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Weak Discontinued

But it works. for computers and accessories

When using Pi 3B+, the Pi WiFi fails when I mount the board under the Pi according to the instructions. In my case stacking on top of the Pi is really not an option since I have a fan installed there and an XBee on top of it. In any case, remove the USB connector, which will remove power from the board and the problem will be solved. Turn it on and the problem will return. Everything else works with no issues, and while I haven't tried it, I have no reason to believe Ethernet isn't working (I…

Pros
  • Not only usable for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great way to add an mSATA SSD to your Pi B+, 2B or 3B

EDIT: This review is no longer valid as the product has been updated several times and is not what I was looking at . Original Review: I got this to use a spare mSATA SSD on my Raspberry Pi3B and it works fine with /boot on the SD card and /(root) on the SSD. When trying to clean boot via USB on the Pi3B, it works when the system is on, but rebooting and shutting down is unreliable. This is a common problem with USB booting on the Pi3B as its boot code is quite primitive and incompatible with…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • So far so good

Works as expected: Single board computer

I use this as the only drive in my Raspberry Pi (no SD card). Plugged the drive into my PC, formatted the drive to FAT32, put the NOOBS files on the drive, plugged the drive into my Pi and booted it up. Multiple operating systems installed on the SSD with no problems. Reloads well. The only complaint I have is that it's difficult (impossible) to remove the USB bridge while the Pi is a case designed for it. So swapping the SSD adapter between PC and Pi is a bit cumbersome, but doesn't need to be

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Do you want an SSD on your PI? Try it.

You'll be amazed how easy it is. It comes with everything you need except an mSATA SSD (obviously). I was looking for something as a home web server base, mainly to run a personal media wiki, a LAMP stack and maybe some light scripting. I wanted it to be portable, functional, durable and quiet. So far this has been a great option. Currently running Raspbian with a 60GB mSATA SSD and the Raspbian install has been done. Easy. Very stupid easy. For example, install an SSD, screw it in, mount it on

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Updates available

Explore before you jump.

I should have researched more. The MSATA board interferes with the WLAN and should actually have its own power supply. Didn't live up to expectations as it didn't help to free up space between the board and the RPi. It is advertised as USB3.0 but USB 3.0 is not available on RPi3. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get this to work on an RPi3 at some point (I also have a Dogfish SSD), but the documentation is patchy.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

It's worth it, really improved performance. No SD cards required

Works great! Really improved performance. I had some rainbow/light bolt issues with my 5V 2.5A power supply so I replaced it with a 5V 3A power supply and so far so good. I use it with this SSD. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07864YNTZ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Annoying
