Worthy but troublesome

It definitely works, I get tree roots breaking through and blocking my outer tubes resulting in a water reserve. That's what the plumber used when they first came out so I just bought one for double the price when it came out. I'll make good use of it but getting it down the drain was a pain trying to twist it because the hole was quite small. And when it's time to retract, it won't happen if you pull it all the way out. You must disassemble the block and manually retract it. Just a big pain in

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Perfect upgrade for sewer cleaning equipment

I had a hard power spin (a snake attached to a drill) for about 6 years before it broke. Our installation isn't very good, so it found many uses, so here are my favorite improvements over this device. Not having to hold a drill, snake, and pipe is like cheating, you could do it all with one hand (and one foot). ) Very quiet compared to a drill and minimal vibration as you are holding the end of the hose, not the motor. The transparent drum makes it easy to see how much snake is left. Easy to…

Worth every penny. for sewer cleaning devices

I recently bought a Rigid 55808 sewer cleaning machine. It paid off the first time I didn't have to call a plumber to clear a clogged drain. I live in a small town and a plumber can fix my problem in two weeks. I can't stress enough. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. This machine does not work like the larger sewage treatment plants. One feature I thought was great is that the car stays in front to exit and enter the queue. It is also important that the machine gets the job done. Don't try to force the…

Measure as advertised. Worth every penny.

Best tool I've bought in a long time. I was a little wary of spending as much as I did. I have used hand and power drills in the past with great frustration and not very good results. This tool was easy to use. It was easy to set up and went down the drain so quickly. I recommend that you come prepared with dishwater and a rag. Plums are unpleasant, smelly and dirty work. While the manual doesn't specifically mention using ground drains, you'll be fine if it's a short chase. I have a repetitive

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The RIGID 5508 Power Clear sewage treatment plant looks good. It is a pity that the appearance does not match the characteristics. The user, you, is instructed to advance the drill by pushing on the front of the holder through which the drill cable runs, and to remove the drill by pushing on the back of the same holder. The motor and the drum onto which the auger cable is to be wound rotate in the same direction during these feed and retract operations. Sounds good and works until the tip of…

Will I recommend it? Definitely!

I was trying to unclog a stubborn pool skimmer that didn't have a suction. Tried everything - Drain King, Hand Pipe Snake and Sewer Rod. I even tried to buy a sewer washer, but the seller recommended not to use it for swimming pools because it would not have enough power underwater. Due to COVID-19 I couldn't get a plumber or pool technician to come out and clean it. I knew it was definitely a blockage because I ran the endoscope over the tube and it showed pine needles, sand, and leaves…
