GREAT value for money, suitable for kitchen and dining room

For crystal it's easy to clean, strong and lightweight, but if you want simple glass wine glasses this isn't for you. These are exceptional and correct. I'm super snob with my wine. Riedel is simply the best you can get for your money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Annoys

Beautiful, a little thin

I have bought many wine glasses from Reidel over the years and I love fine rimless glasses or cheap rimmed glasses. They are not as important as others of this brand. They are ok but I wonder how quickly they will break as they are made of thinner material than others I have and I can compare them.

Pros
  • An absolute legend

The best vessel for your wine!

These are simply the best glasses in my opinion. They are great for letting the wine breathe and are a pleasure to drink from. I definitely recommend hand washing. Their great advantage is that they are easy to replace if they break. The Riedel Vinum line has always existed and has remained unchanged for many years.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So-so

Don't buy them for wine glasses

These are just awful glasses. Look nice but can't be cheaper. If you look at them the wrong way they will break and such a crappy design destroys any aesthetic you might want when enjoying a good glass, even if the glass is intact. You can never drink good wine from such inferior shit. Use a paper cup instead.

  • good stuff

Riedel VINUM glasses for Bordeaux/Merlot/Cabernet wine pay 6 for 8

Nice and light wine glasses! Well packaged, all 8 glasses arrived undamaged. Had to put them on the bottom shelf of my dishwasher (didn't fit my top rack washing machine). I took the glasses out while the washing machine was still warm and dried them with a microfiber cloth. Photographed with Riedel Bordeaux/Cab/Merlot (right) alongside Riedel Vinum Zinfandel/Riesling Grand Cru (left). A glass of Zin fits in my top rack dishwasher. I love using both!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • low maintenance

It will really enhance the flavor of your dark red wines.

I came across Reidel glassware on a cruise and did a wine tasting where I poured the same wine into different glasses. Also known as a tannin tamer, this glass really helps remove the tannin flavor present in dark red wines. Like any crystal, they're a little easier to break than thick, not-so-versatile glasses, but if you're spending that much I hope you're looking after your belongings. The sommelier said never to use soap to wash glasses, but the website refutes this, and they are much…

Riedel glass breaks easily

Bought a set of 8 about two years ago and have really enjoyed using them. They really do have the iconic shape and size for cabs and merlots (and zines too if you ask me). Advertised as "dishwasher safe" I pop them in the dishwasher every now and then. Last weekend my third Riedel bit the dust. As you can see the crack is in the center of the glass and not on the rim or leg. All three of my cracked Riedels failed the same way. And I don't think it's the dishwasher because I have a habit of…

The best red wine glasses overall at a reasonable price

Riedel Vinum is my choice for red wine tasting glasses. I taste a few hundred wines a year and this is my most reliable glass. I like the Riedel Vinum Extreme Cabernet/Merlot Glasses Set of 2, slightly better in looks and with some wines I really want to concentrate the taste, but this Vinum wine glass is my absolute favorite. Glasses I used for parallel taste tests. The choice of glass is important, so matching the wine to the glass is important. In general, match the type of glass to the type

Pros
  • Fine Crystal
Cons
  • Pricey
