Be very careful! on TV & Video

I have just purchased this product and when i tried to activate it an error occurred and i was told to call 866 from IDA to activate my roku. I have been informed that there is a one-time activation fee of $69.99. I informed him that Revain hadn't said anything about an activation fee and I refused to pay it. Bare boned unit works great!

I Got This Bought the Roku to expand into a fourth room and I was happy to see that it was offered at a fraction of the cost of my other Roku models. Of course, this simple device requires you to sacrifice some of the options found on more expensive devices, such as B. the on/off switch of the TV, the volume control and the headphone jack on the remote control. Beware of activation fees

I had to return it today even though I only had it about 1 day. Cause: There was a $100 activation fee that was not listed on the website at time of purchase. Based on the description on the website, I have the impression that I only have to pay for the device and get all the free channels I want. It was described that I should only pay for paid channels. Should have gotten

. I finally decided to buy it to keep my TV up to date. Most apps on my 2011 TV no longer work and have limited functionality. I wish I had bought one of these years ago. Now reading previous comments there is someone who gave 2 stars and complained about single band wifi. This guy doesn't care what he's looking at. ATTENTION HDMI switch/splitter users!

In general, in the end I was moderately satisfied. The initial setup was easy. However, I was quite shocked when video from many channels didn't stream - instead of video, I got audio and error code 020. (Note: I tried running our Roku through an HDMI signal switcher.) As it turns out, many HDMI signal switchers/splitters sold by Revain are NOT HDCP compliant. (HDCP is a form of digital copy protection; I didn't find out until trying to troubleshoot this Roku).
