Surpasses Steel: Replacement Parts

Amazing Product. It can be bent by hand. I replaced the brake line on a rotten Silverado and literally hand bent the new section. I tried to start it but I had bad results. I ended up using a brass compression fitting for the connection and the flare seems like a waste of time anyway. Brass compression fittings are ideal for this product. That brake line is the only thing that doesn't rust on the old Silverado.

Flexible Brake Line

This stainless steel brake line is very handy for hard-to-reach places like the line from the press to the rear of the car. It also won't rust since it's not steel. It's a relatively new product sold under different names, but the pretzel-twisted look is a giveaway. You'll still have to flare the hose to attach the fittings, so it's not for beginners, but it's a welcome addition to your toolbox. It costs more than steel cable, but for tight bends, it's a lifesaver.

Great hoses for hydraulic parts

I had to replace all of the brake lines on my 2004 Silverado due to rust. This alloy tube is very easy to work with and should last forever. I performed a corrosion test by putting a thick solution of salt water on the piece along with a length of plain steel cord. A few days later, the steel pipe was covered with rust film and pitting had already started. This nickel-to-copper line only had a few green spots, which I expected from copper, which rubbed off immediately. No visible hole. quality…

It was a pleasure to use this handset

This handset has lived up to its reputation. It is convenient to use, easy to bend, and easy to stretch by hand. It's still quite stiff, so you'll need some effort to bend it. It will not lose shape. For tight corners I still used a pipe bender because I had one, but I don't think that's a requirement. It would take some effort to bend it into the pretzel shape in the picture. This tube flared well and none of my flares leaked, which is good. You will still need a pipe cutter to properly cut…

It is much easier to work with than steel pipes.

I changed the brake lines on my 2001 Silverado twice. The first time with steel cables, which meant I had to connect in the middle of the line on each pass. My mechanic recommended this pipe to me recently. He said that bending has become a lot easier. And he was RIGHT. I was able to run a line from the ABS in the center of the car, across the chassis, through the engine bay and across the front to the right front wheel in ONE continuous piece. Great! Also, I found out that Volvo has been using

That's great!

This is the second roll of this size that I have ordered. I used the first to replace rotted brake lines on my truck and needed more for the second car. That's great! To uncoil it, simply place your foot on the end of the roll and then roll it out across the concrete, leaving a fairly straight section of pipe. You can then cut it to length and bend it with your hands to fit the dimensions of the original part you are replacing. It cuts and stretches like a dream and snaps into place without too
