Will not work with all 5 gallon gas cans

I bought two of these sets in 2017 for a pair of 5 gallon plastic gas cans I bought from Wally World years ago and the original spouts have cracked over the years use. Perfect fit and won't leak on a can. Another pitcher dripped like a strainer from the base of the spout no matter how hard I tugged. YMMV - works great on some manufacturer lenses, not so well on others. The glass these pourers worked with still works great after 2 years.

Too thin and stiff Good for gas cartridges

The knurled part of the spout gives the impression of being flexible, which is actually not the case. The plastic in this part is thinner and tends to chip at those knurled folds. The included cap is placed on the end, so to speak. This is not a perfect fit as the end of the tube is not round. I suspect part of the problem is that it's difficult to hold a full five-gallon can completely still, which puts stress on the "flexible" part of the spout. (And it takes a long time to pour that muchโ€ฆ

Started using my gas tanks again

tank pain is all i can say about these twist and squeeze spouts. The springs inside wear out quickly. I have a few jars that I wanted to keep in use. They fit in my canisters and now I can fill up, bring home and use the canisters with no problems. It's the old-fashioned way. You remove the damaged cap, insert a round sealant into the mouth of the gas cylinder and twist the spout of the funnel. Take out the tab and pour. The flexible spout is much more precise and I don't spill any gas. Veryโ€ฆ

Might be a great product but not for flash cans.

This might be an incorrect application as I used it on Blitz plastic gas cylinders so it might be partly my fault. On the other hand, I searched for "lightning" to replace drain pipes and it came up pretty high in the results, so Revane, you're with me under the bus. and those flawed spouts. In any case.1. It's not close enough to the can so it spills copiously onto the hot mower2. Neither the spout cap nor the retaining ring stays in place (there is threading on the cap but not on the tip ofโ€ฆ

Waste of money, does not work and dangerous

I bought these to replace a missing cap spout on one of my petrol cans. Despite appearances, the neck is not flexible. The material is very stiff and not flexible like other grommets. If you try to bend it, instead of bending, it will bend and bend. I spilled gas everywhere trying to use this; Even when I was able to stick the spout into the fuel tank, it would pop out while refueling, squirting fuel everywhere (including my face) and squirting a heap on the ground. In addition, the hole at the

100X better than Rotopax grommets

We received scepter grommet kits to replace the absurdly useless grommets that came with the Rotopax cases and we are so happy with them. Firstly the screw cap from the kit does not fit the Rotopax container but we were able to reuse the Rotopax cap with the kit and it seals perfectly. The Scepter spout comes with a gasket that not only makes a seal, but actually attaches to the inside of the spout so it doesn't fall off once you remove the cap (like Rotopax does). Well done. A big improvement over so-called NO-SPILL spouts

This really matches the 5 gallon gas canisters sold at Walmart. If you look closely at these glasses you will see that they are made by the Scepter company which appears to be the manufacturer of these spouts. Some other grommet manufacturers claim to have a "one size fits all" but I had to send back the one that made that claim because it just didn't fit. The best thing about these scepter spouts is that they are self-venting. You're letting air flow back into the glass as you pour. Manyโ€ฆ
