Does the job! best hanging tools

Tool worked great. I used it to replace struts on a 2001 Toyota Tundra. The tool did exactly what it was supposed to do. You just need to tighten/loosen each side little by little to avoid crashing. I've had three offers from Automotive Places to replace my struts and shock absorbers and they have been outrageous. Almost $1,000 for the job. So I replaced them myself and all I had to do was get that coil spring compressor and I bought Bilstein struts and shocks for $340. Not bad if you ask me.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Good quality steering and suspension tools

Used on 1500 jack to install leveling kit. This is high quality compared to chinese rubbish on the web. Not a fancy case, but still a top product. You invest in the construction of the instrument, not the body. For heavy springs you need 2 sets, they will flex under pressure but all will do and return to normal immediately after removal. There was no problem at all. Don't skimp on others, it could be a security issue. Always check reviews of a tool that can be dangerous

Pros
  • Everything is great!

Assembly for large spring packs that are awkward to use on ATV/UTV shocks

This assembly should come with hardened washers where the large main bolt goes through a single lip jaw. The bolt tends to clog the bottom of the bolt where it rides over the jaw and offers a lot of drag. I finally saw what was going on and went to the local hardware store and bought two hardened washers and put some anti-seize on them and it really made a difference how much less resistance I felt when tightening the clamps.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibration
Cons
  • Operating speed

Used on compact coil springs

I have purchased several adjustable coil springs that needed to be restored. The adjustable collar got stuck and the lack of a proper wrench made adjustment difficult. I rented some spring compressors from an auto parts store and they didn't fit between the coils because the coils of the spring were too close together (see picture). These allow me to slip them between the spring stages and properly compress the springs to separate them. They are inexpensive but work very well. As previously…

The best compressor for coil springs.

Best type of supercharger if you are replacing a coilover. I started my project by renting compressors from a local auto parts store, but the spring mounts are thick making them difficult to install without scratching the powder coating on the new springs. They work great for a standard Mc. However, Pearson reigns. I rebuilt 4 coilovers for my 96 4Runner and these superchargers work great. Keep in mind that the springs are much tighter and require quite a bit of force to compress, but they got…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • Defects present

Works fine but I had to modify it for my specific use case.

This tool is likely to be well suited for its intended purpose of safely compressing springs for struts with or without a strut when there is enough room on each side of the compressed spring to fit tools with threaded rods. However, I found that to install a non-coilover coil spring in _my particular example_ (a 2003 Mustang with lowered tubular handlebars with deep spring pockets), the threaded rods were too long to fit in the space provided. for the upper spring plate and plate in the…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Contact seller

. These were the only spring compressors I found that could fit 2.5 turns between the spring and shock body! They had no problem compressing the 650 lb spring about 4 inches for me to insert the mount. I highly recommend taking them apart, cleaning the threads and lubricating them. I did this and the tool ran very smoothly with no jamming. The threaded rods were slightly bent (as shown in the picture) but immediately returned to their original shape once the pressure was removed. Overall they…

  • Delivery was very fast.
