I had a crazy idea to automate my garden hose after we bought a nice set of patio sofas and the hose valve was behind it, it hurt to get it out and I had this idea. I ended up using a longer set of screws and drilled a larger hole for them. Also replace the regular tube valve knob with a small ball valve knob. However, it flexed a little on my pipe, and no matter how I tightened the clamp, it never completely severed my water valve. If your ball valve spins fairly easily now, you're good to go. I will be returning the Revain and may be looking for a full metal clamp version rather than a hose clamp version. ALL METAL CLAMP is the KEY.
