Good product, take your time on installation

Looks good only time will tell but when installing I recommend leaving the locating bracket on until you mount it on the shaft. Just my opinion. And keep the car idling when installing

Perfect Fit - Switch

Reverse Light didn't work. I checked everything but found that it was this switch. The light didn't work after the gearbox was replaced. When I removed the old switch, I compared the old to the new and noticed that one of the pins on the old switch was missing. That was the problem. Advice only. follow the instructions. and prepare to go to the trouble of removing the electrical connectors from the old derailleur, as GM used some sort of glue to hold them in place. Not impossible, but go slow…

With the switch in the neutral position, it installs easily. After watching a series of installation videos I will comment on how to do it in the real world and online. Heating the electrical connectors with a hair dryer (to remove them) helped, but the real trick (my own, no power tools required) is to sand down the screw shank (a lot) with a strip of sandpaper and DW40 spray. This allows the old part to gently disengage from the shaft and push the new part in without binding. Existing…

In the end my problem remained and the installation was very painful. The biggest issue was the glue used to hold the factory fork in place. It's like concrete. Most people pull the wire out of the plug to unplug it, but knowing this I was careful. There was so much glue left on the emergency plug that it was almost impossible to get to the new switch. In my situation I had bad solder joints on the instrument cluster. If your car starts fine but the gear indicators are burned out, I would…
