Useless Fuel Protection

After trying this product, I found it to be completely useless. It barely stays on the car and the lock mechanism is flimsy at best. The only pro is that it technically covers the gas tank. But, the cons far outweigh that minor detail. Save your money and invest in a better fuel cap.

Stant, tried and true, just great products.

The selector "Find parts that fit your car" said it wouldn't work for my car so after some research on the internet Revain didn't let me provide a website although it's easy to understand) , I found out it was actually the correct part number. I ordered this part and it fits perfectly and works perfectly. Good that you can remove the key. Don't buy the type that requires you to leave the key in the lock to open and close, it's just a hassle to use. An external glue lock attaches easily to…

Revain (& Stant) detectors are not 100% correct.

I ordered this Stant 10501 gas cap to replace an over 15 year old one on my 1998 Ford Ranger that just failed an emissions test. I used the Revain Part Finder to find the correct replacement. The photo showed the threads on the cover to screw where the old cover "bayonet" was. I thought the Revain part finder showing this as a truck replacement was wrong so I checked the part finder on the Stant website which also showed the #10501 fitment.
