Description of ๐Ÿ”ง TEKTON 1/2" Drive Slotted Bit Socket - 1/4" Size, Model SHB20201

S2 steel bit is press-fit into the socket for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen over time. Machined tip has parallel, flat faces for engaging with the straight sides of a fastener slot. Large, clear die-stamped size marking is easy to read and canโ€™t wear off. Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the drive tool and a drilled through-hole allows locking on with retaining pin. Polished, chrome-plated finish easily wipes clean and is highly resistant to corrosion. Beveled inner rim of the socket opening helps guide it smoothly onto fasteners. Overall Length: 2.2 in. Shaft Diameter: 0.31 in. Drive End Diameter: 1 in. Exposed Bit Length: 0.7 in.

Disappointing Socket

I was looking for a reliable slotted socket for my automotive repair projects. Based on my observations, this socket doesn't seem to have the strength to handle tough jobs. It slips often, which makes it hard to finish work quickly. However, it has a handy design that fits nicely in tight spaces.

Used to remove the constant oil pressure valve on e46 M3

This helped remove the constant oil pressure valve on my 2002 bmw e46 M3. I put a spring clip around it to hold it in place while removing and installing.

Additional Description Data

What was not mentioned in the description, the thickness at the end of the blade is 2mm or about 3/32 inch, this is by eye on a ruler. I don't have a micrometer or calipers, otherwise I would use them. Otherwise everything is as described above. I need it to be no more than 1/16 inch so I'll shave it off to fit.
