I have 4 and they are great!

Excellent value for money. Looks great assembled and installation was easy. I didn't buy a special drill. I used the next size down and slightly enlarged the opening for a perfect fit. Some sealant may be required depending on the depth of the door. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No performance

Nice one piece peephole

I needed double (2) peepholes for my double front doors and they fitted perfectly. I wanted a darker finish and something solid. This is compliant. Heavy, well made and strong with a great finish to match the natural dark wood doors. I also like the privacy cover.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Fluted glass - blurred look

I liked the style with the lid when ordering; but even with the large hole that had to be cut out, the glass in the peephole does not give a clear view. The look is wavy. I also thought that having a bigger eye would be better and more vision, but it's not. Disappointed, it didn't deliver quality performance.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Negative impression

I see clearly now.

It was a bit bigger than I expected so I used a step drill to get it right. Simply unscrew the two parts. Insert both ends into the door and screw back together. Did. Our previous observer only covered the door of the hallway neighbor, but with a wide field of view we can see the stairs and laundry room on either side. Great look, great buy.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

EASY INSTALLATION! This is the one!

That's great. Like you, I did a few reviews and finally settled on this one of my choice. There is an inscription on the movable lid, but it doesn't bother me at all. PLUS, this door is so much fun! It makes no noise and the "installation" only drills ONE hole in your door. Then just screw in by hand, tighten, done! The ONLY thing I will notice is that my Dewalt drill was ready to go and I opened up my (standard) drill set only to find that my largest drill was too small so I had to grab it. No

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Almost never

It does the job

So far it has served its purpose so I can't say it's a bad product. I originally wanted to use the Rockwood 627 model because I know one works great. But in this place I moved to, the door hardware has a black finish and I wanted the color of the peephole to match. Rockwood makes a black coated version of the 627, but I've only been able to find them in bulk for other companies. I'm not sure where the average consumer can buy this version. In the meantime I decided to take the risk and buy this

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

It's good, for equipment in general

It was great. I've had it installed for several months now. It is installed like any other door viewer (neither easier nor more difficult). It's definitely better to drill a pilot hole with a smaller bit and then drill halfway through each side (front and back) with a larger bit than to drill all the way through with a larger bit and split the door on one side. The only tricky part of the setup (for me) is making sure the drill bit goes in perfectly straight, not at an up, down, or sideways…

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but something was
