Lubricate the needle bearing!

Good price as they even come with new hub o-rings and new ABS sensors and even 4 wheel studs to attach to the steering knuckle. Be sure to pack the needle bearings that come with UN grease on the back of the hub. You can get wheel bearing grease from Habor Freight for $5 for a tube designed for wheel bearings. It's also a good idea to remove the ABS sensor and pump wheel bearing grease into the hub. Some say they were not oiled. Get a rubber tip for a grease gun or buy an ABS sensor grease…

Most likely fake bearings

I bought 2 of these (SP580205 and then 515020 because I needed a lead wire instead of a thin one) to replace my old ones which were worn out and less After 2 thousand miles than I took it to replace the leaf spring bushings, they were both already out of balance. The mechanic physically showed me the play/movement they had. Unfortunately, 6 months later that was outside the return window. IF YOU WANT TO BUY THIS, BUY 100% EXTENDED WARRANTY. As for me, I will now buy (probably genuine) Timken…

dust cover or not. Spacer with Washers

FORD 1999 F350 Dual 4X4 7.3L Diesel. I bought both front blocks to exchange. During installation I noticed that the distance between the caliper slot and the rotor was different on the inside and outside of the board, but I didn't really care about that until I started riding. I noticed wear on the outside of the rotors consistent with rubbing on the caliper. After measuring all the components down to the dust cover, I found that the fit is perfect when the dust cover is removed. The rotors…

I installed 2 of these bearings along with the front u-joint, seals and new mile marker brackets. I thought I heard a rumble as soon as I took it for a test drive on the driver's side. After a few days the rumble got louder and when I lifted the bike off the ground with no load I felt a dead zone and a bit of play. I was able to request a new one. But I'm very lucky because it's ONLY guaranteed for 30 DAYS when purchased through Revain. When you open the warranty information for an item on the…

Buy for peace of mind

There are only two or three companies I would buy an item this important from, let alone it's a lot of work. I have over 150,000 original bearings for my Ford Excursion, so I expect the same or better results from Timken. The time will show. The fit was excellent, appeared to be well made (no bearings visible inside), comes with a yellow hub o-ring and new bolts. The temperature of the bearings was excellent (laser thermometer), the track is quiet (the old ones were noisy). I just did a road…

Timken is not the same!

So we did a full service on my front end for our 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty. I bought two of these to replace two front wheel bearing latch assemblies. After installation, I took the truck for a test drive and found that the ABS light was still on after driving over 15 mph. I thought it might be the ABS module so I bought an expensive scanner, reset the ABS code and bled the ABS valve. But the ABS light didn't go out. So I connected the oscilloscope to the wheel ABS sensor on the driver's side…

Great price great quality all included

I built new ball joints for my 2002 Ford F-350 4x4 7.3L diesel. My stock on the drivers side. Of course while I was there it made sense to redo both hub bearings (since the passenger bearing is probably not far behind) and be done with that. Too much work on the ball joint to try to put it all back together only to partially take it apart again in the relatively near future. I did some reading and found these Timken 515020 wheel bearing and hub assemblies as recommended in the main article. I…
