4 Port USB Hub Best Networking Products

This product was a great solution for accessing my USB devices through my wireless router. When used in conjunction with a USB port on a router, all my laptops can access shared USB drives and printers without moving cables or devices.

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons
  • Quality

Works great - use 5v power supply only

USB Hub Extender has worked fine for me for a couple of years. I set it up so that all my various peripherals are in a closet about 25 feet from me and so there are unsightly cables on the table. My computer's bandwidth only works for USB 1.0. So to connect cameras and other devices, which work best with USB 2.0, I still have to connect them directly to my computer. Note that this is a 5v power supply. While rearranging my closet I accidentally plugged it into one of the 10v power supplies that

The USB hub works great but the hub doesn't provide much power

I have this USB hub about 25 meters from my computer. It doesn't provide enough power to run a wireless mouse or charge a phone. 1 star deduction for that. However, it will work well with all your devices plugged into another self-powered hub plugged into that power strip.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists

I just can't get it to work. The first was.

I just can't get it to work. The first was broken. Replacing one kept giving me an over-voltage warning when plugged into my computer.

Not enough bandwidth

I bought this to put my Logitech USB headset receiver and 360 wireless controller receiver closer to the TV, which is also where I ran the HDMI cable to connect the Steam enable Big Picture mode on my TV. While setup wasn't difficult (Cat 6 cabling was already in place), there clearly wasn't enough USB 1.1 bandwidth for audio to work properly. it "worked" but the audio was distorted to the point where it couldn't be used. However, the 360 wireless controller was fine. I bought a (more…

Worked very well for me where another device failed

My application for this is simple. I wanted to USB a Kurzweil PC3 to my computer across the room. It's only 25 feet long with the cable running at the edge of the room, so I first tried a cheaper 16-inch self-powered USB extender that costs less than $25 and a 10-foot USB -Cable. That didn't work for me. I then got this one, hooked up a 25ft Category 5 cable to it and it worked just fine. It was more money but I think in this case you really get what you pay for. I really needed the connection…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

worked on 148FT CAT6 barrel

I've had my share of failed USB to CAT-x converters but this one worked as claimed. I like the power supply that makes it active on the remote side, I think it relieves the USB which makes the coil 5 last longer. I use it on a remote PC NVR locked in a closet 148ft from the client. Desktop, keyboard and mouse work without problems. best result this year.

Pros
  • looking forward to
Cons
  • reliability
