Tuffy Ocean Creature Tiger Shark Review

My 1 year old doberman mix destroys toys but needs something soft she can play with so she won't try to use pillows as toys. These Tuffy toys are wonderful. They last much longer than any other stuffed toy but the only problem is that once my dog gets the toy open, there seems to be an unlimited amount of fluff for her to pull out. Overall great toy and will continue to buy these toys for my dog.

This is about the 4th Tuffy stuffed toy I have gotten for my dog (pig, lamb, star before) who really likes to chew and shake and try to tear into these types of toys. She has not been able to eviscerate this one so quickly as it has many points to focus on due to all the fins, instead of just a few points (like the pig) that can lead to a quicker hole being chewed into it.The only thing about this Tuffy toy is that I did not even know it had squeakers in it until I was pressing it tightly…

Sooooo. I read all the other reviews about this being tough but not indestructible. You were right, OK!? My dog LOOOOOOVES this toy, but the poor shark suffered some detrimental bites within the first 10 mins. I have a 7 month old Lhasa Apso puppy and My puppy tore the teeth out of this shark in less than 1 hour. I had really hoped to find a chew toy that he couldn’t destroy.

I thought it was going to be a little larger, but my Nikoh, a yellow lab, LOVES his shark! He seems to be a fan of the Tuffy toys in general (we have several). I highly recommend them for the active larger dogs that can be hard on their toys. We are repeat customers!

I have a dog that when given a dog toy instantly goes for the stuffing and usuallygets to it within minutes. However even with his needle like teeth this toy seems to be able to make it about a week. To some that might not sound great but for someone with a doggy like mine that speaks bounds aboutthis toy. I highly reccomend this to every dog owner out there no matter what size dog they have. (FYI I have a medium size pitbull mix)

Very stiff toy. 10 minutes my 10 month old lab had two fins off.. Will probably not be easily chewed up, partially because my don't don't seem very interested in it.

One of the most durable Tuffy toys I have found. Dog was able to chew the shark's mouth open pretty quickly, but had hours of fun with the rest of the toy.

Jasper grabs his shark every morning to take out back on his yard patrol. My dogs love these but can still pull them apart wish there was a material they couldn’t chew thru. It has held up very well even to tug of war.

Tuffy is the only soft toy brand that my 90lb pitbull doesn't demolish in 2 seconds. It takes him several months to completely destroy them! I will never buy anything other than Tuffy!

Best for our small/medium dog. Lots of areas for her to grab with her mouth, and tough enough that she can really have a good tug session with us. This is our third or fourth of the sharks over 2years.

Fritz the Boxer is in love with his shark! These toys are great, we have been buying them for years. Not indestructible but very sturdy for sure. This shark is Fritz's favorite buddy, there is shark attack in our living room every morning when he finds him. Except the shark is the one getting attacked! These toys might cost a bit more but they last longer for sure.

So, unfortunately my 40lb Boxer/Cocker Spaniel mix managed to only get about 1 hour of life from the Tuffy Tiger Shark Sea Creature Dog Toy. Cute toy and my dog loved it for about 5 minutes until she destroyed it. She's tough on stuffed toys, but I had hoped with the high "tuff" rating it might last longer than a few minutes. As it's fairly large/heavy, this would be a great toy for a larger dog that is not much of a chewer.
