Know What You Order

I have a hard time reviewing an item that I have not had the opportunity to use. As I'm not very computer savvy and wanted to connect more flash drives to my laptop, I took a friend's advice and ordered a Verbatim USB-C 4-port hub with Power Delivery. Shortly after receiving it, I found that I couldn't use it with my laptop. My friend and I assumed the connection would be universal, meaning my laptop would have an input that would fit a Verbatim 4-port powered USB-C hub. This turned out not to…

Well! Computers and accessories

Works as advertised. PD works, sleep mode, power off works. The Ethernet port works. USB ports work. However, it draws power when the laptop is in sleep mode and gets warm, but not by much. In any case, thank you, verbatim! By the way, I bought it with my own money.

Cheapest hub I found

If you have a new Mac, you need a power hub. Newer Macs - I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro - need a hub to connect USB-A devices (which we're all used to) to the computer. At first, Apple's marketing annoyed me. Gimmick, but quickly discovered that by using a loop-through hub that plugs directly into the computer, I don't have to buy a new Mac power adapter every six months (the wires in the Mac cable inevitably break). if you use your laptop as a laptop and like me you carry it with you all the…

Pros
  • Quick Replace
Cons
  • Volume

This product is well made and useful for a laptop or computer with a USB-C port. Since most computers only have a "C" port, you will need a hub with a USB port in addition to the input. C output that this device has. I would prefer an outlet on a hub with a short cord with plugs on both ends in case you need to extend it. Most of these products appear to have a short internal cord (this is only 4 inches long). I would also find it more useful with 4 USB 3 outputs - two is pretty rudimentary. A…

Mixed charger/hub

Every few years there are changes in both capacity and hardware configuration. At the moment my MacBook Pro only has USB-C ports which do not support USB 3.0 ports. My iPhone charges by plugging one end into the iPhone's micro USB port and the other end into a USB 3.0 port. So I can't connect my iPhone to my MacBook Pro. However, it is possible with the Verbatim 4-Port USB-C Hub. The hub has a USB-C connector that I can connect to my MacBook Pro and 2 USB 3 ports plus 2 USB-C ports; The one on…

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I'm concerned

The device works as advertised. This is especially useful for people who only have a USB-C port on their new laptop but want to connect legacy USB devices. The beauty is that if your computer supports USB-C charging, you can run a USB-C power cable over the hub to charge and power your laptop and connect peripherals. This can be especially helpful for owners of 12-inch Macbooks that only have a USB-C port. In my tests with a portable SSD drive, there didn't appear to be any performance…

Fairly working modest hub

I have several such hubs; It features bandwidth for USB-C, an additional USB-C port for data, and two traditional USB ports. It's a bit oversized given the lack of ports, and I suspect that's the standard Verbatim uses for many products. It works great when connected to an Apple 85W power bank, charging my Macbook Pro and a few USB devices. I haven't tested the throughput but they claim 5Mbps and in my experience that's right. Built-in USB power cable, which allows you to save cables.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • For retirees

I bought this device to replace a broken hub. This works every time, but my max internet upload speed is 9.11 and my max upload speed is 9.26. If you use this for movies or office work this will work. If you want to use it for gaming, you'll need a different hub. My other hub has a download speed of 72.3 and upload speed of 11.8.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not everything fits
