Broke Right Below Me

I was in the last minute of my ride today when the pedal came right off the bike and I fell. The long, narrow piece, second from the left in my photo, was still attached to the bike, but my boot and pedal fell off when this piece came loose and broke. Disappointed as they were purchased in April 2020 and I only ride once or twice a week.

Not strong enough for a Peloton bike

Within the first three months, a pedal fell off the welded part. They are recommended by Peloton (for their Peloton Bike) if you want to upgrade to SPD. These pedals aren't strong enough to handle the intensity of my workout and I've been riding/spinning for 10+ years. I went to my local bike shop and bought a more durable pair (four times the price) and it fit me better. The salesman got back with me right away, but I told my bike shop to throw away the broken pedal. As a result, I was unableโ€ฆ

Excellent Starter Pedals

It took me a bit of poking around to find them on this site but I'm very happy with them. This was my first set of clip on pedals and I had no problems with them. The tension is adjustable and the initial adjustment was a bit tight but perfectly adequate. I will be using them for mountain biking but currently use them on my hybrid road bike. I'm still practicing, but I'm starting to get better engagement. What helps is that the pedal doesn't rotate too much, it's easy to plant your foot flat to

These are great SPD pedals for $30!

These pedals are great at $30. I rode it 1300 miles last year (my new road bike), not a single problem. I just lubed the pivot points with bike chain lube and wiped them clean. You have to give up your machines if you expect them to work, yes it's a machine!. Today I'm buying another pair for my wife's new bike. Clip I/O operations are very reliable, there have never been any problems. I actually have the same pedals on my triathlon bike and I've done a full ironman and 2 half ironmans andโ€ฆ

Shimano who?

at a price you just can't go wrong with these pedals. I'd say a solid 50 mile run and they're butter. Use at your own discretion as riding with spikes is sketchy. If you are a beginner I would not recommend it. I personally ate crap because I couldn't get my feet down in time just because of those pedals, instead loading them with play. I have a pair on my MTB, single speed and I've just ordered this third pair for my new fixed gear but I've decided to go the other way as I'm new to this andโ€ฆ
