Wolo 430 Musical Horn Dixieland Review

Works as advertised! I made a mount out of 1/2" EMT tubing that I flattened and installed 5 horns with a compressor on the bottom. There was a lot of tubing in the kit but as you can see my compressor is very close .

I bought this item a few years ago and added it to my truck so when I saw it again I jumped at the opportunity to fit it to my current truck. However, the quality has changed. Nothing like that. The hose that came with it was so short I had to buy one from Lowe's. There are no cords or wire connectors, so back to Lowe's. After all, they don't have an on/off switch and you gave it back to Lowe. Don't waste money

Working well! The compressor is a bit noisy and fast. But overall they work well, except the horns need a bit of tuning. Other than that, it's a pretty easy setup. The included relay helps a lot. An additional 10 feet of hose to complete the length normally required when mounting the horns slightly further from the compressor. Be sure to install the compressor with the hose outlets facing up. The product was easy to install but the workmanship of this kit sucks. The compressor lasted less than 4 months and sounded like a strangled goose about 2 weeks after installation. I've only used the horn about 10 or 15 times. The shop I worked at was a line of MECP certified installers and they said the compressor had been shot through and looked like it had a white deposit or be leaking. I have a problem with the compressor. Works fine until it gets wet. Then the pipes start leaking and cracking. I wasn't sure what to do. My kids all said try WD40. I said you can't pour oil in the compressor. They said what are you losing? Well they were right, I had nothing to lose. I did my best to install the horns and all the wiring. The compressor looked like it had been returned as the label had smeared the ink but otherwise looked fine. It's true that this kit doesn't come wired with a momentary switch, but I had no issues with it as it was a good excuse to get quality 12 gauge wire and a decent low profile switch instead of this cheap one. it is thus recommended. Edit 2: I received a replacement product. Horn works as it should. Maybe a bit fast, but you can tell exactly which song is being created. Now the question is how long will this product last but so far I am happy with my purchase. Attention: Test the compressor first without installing the whole kit.
