Great screwdriver. It's well made, nice grippy surface on top. Unlike Craftman screwdrivers, the blade is actually the width stated on the label and the sides are straight and fit into a 1/8" socket.

I had this tool for years and "disappeared”. found this exact replacement anyway - would have given five stars but found it a little pricey. but the tool when needed cannot be adjusted.

No quality control. My screwdriver had a beveled edge on the tip that I had to fix with sandpaper. Also the edges of the tip are not square. I got it working but will be looking for an Excelite alternative in the future.

I like them. Assuming I remove the connecting line in the handle and polish it. One star off for having to finish it myself. Of the two I ordered, all I had to do was reinstall the blade in one handle. One star deducted for poor quality. They don't seem to be up to the standard that old Xcelite screwdrivers support. They also both have a hint of the "patented scent of Xcelite".

I have worked in biomedical engineering repairing medical devices for over 20 years. Xcelite tools have always been highly appreciated. Their materials still seem to be of good quality, but they don't verify the final quality of the manufactured product. Honestly, they'd better get together before they lose their good name. Klein makes the best screwdrivers - check out Klein #608-4 for an alternative to the Xcelite R184. Handle. Garbage!
