I should have known better.

I really wanted to like this thing, especially for the price. I've read all sorts of reviews on this helmet and while there were so many good ones, there were enough bad ones to make me doubt it. Well I went for it and after 3 days the lens detached in the middle of a weld and I got a flare. 4 damn arc sensors on this thing. I was running well and the helmet shifted on my head maybe 1/2 inch from sweat and the lens popped out. Insanity. Also, I didn't like how the level of obscuration changed…

Cheap junk. It's not that I buy a welding helmet because the black one looks good, but I saw the red one and thought it looked good, something different. Well the red color is stained and not very good, he literally scratched himself taking it out of the box and the bottom is black. The only reason I'm wasting my time writing this review for this rubbish is so someone else can save their time. I'm not sure if the people who wrote all the great reviews on this thing got their welding gear, but I

Really very good for the price.

I'm from Miller Digital Elite. It's twice as easy to see. Plus a much better field of view. At first, you definitely won't like it because it's blue, not green. At first I hated the hat until I figured out how to adjust the distance from my face. I don't blink I was able to set it up for different types of MIG welding. And now I love it. I also use it for shredding and the button is not very conveniently located. But just point your finger at the bottom and flip it over. There are no warnings…

One star off for the headgear but the rest of the helmet works great.

Good large window. Very clear picture. Is there a hat? Mine was oddly bent in the box and is very light (thin). It might be ok if it lasts because it's pretty comfortable. But judging by other reviews I don't think it will last long. It's almost impossible to twist it hard enough to keep it from falling. And if you can, it will take a little work to bring it down. I like to wear a breastplate that attaches to my helmet so I don't bounce off my shirt. I ordered one that zips up but I usually…
