Purchased with some EZ Lok 10-24 Softwood Threaded Inserts. Only fits my Makita impact wrench. Simplified assembly of threaded inserts in the subwoofer housing. It would have been possible to do it manually with an Allen key, but it took seconds. We highly recommend purchasing this tool when installing Threaded Inserts.

These tools are insanely priced. They have to cost a few bucks each, otherwise EZ LOK has to put <i>one</i> in each pocket. But they work great. You can mount it in a drill if you're worried about the bit staying very straight, or in a cordless drill if you need to do this while lying on your back under a table. I even did some hand cranks just to see and it worked there too. and tell you when to stop (fewer problems with flanged inserts).

I bought this tool along with some threaded zinc inserts for removable bottom panels on the small boxes I assemble. It is excellent for installing threaded inserts when used in a hand drive, but note that there is no ball retainer for use in the small subcompact drivers popular today (although a ball retainer is shown in the product image). So for a manual screwdriver it works fine, but for a speedster with a hex chuck it just expands. The bit also works great in traditional pin drills…
