I like it! on reflectors

So I took a base from Revain's recommendations and paired it with an Orion 52587 VersaGo E-Series Altazimuth Mount with Tripod. I was considering buying a 100mm Orion SkyScanner tabletop reflector, but found the viewfinder and focuser placement odd and poorly thought out. They've painted themselves into a corner focused on selling their Orion StarBlast AutoTracker altazimuth mount to mount on a small add-on rather than building something interoperable for Vixen's side-mounted tripods. That…

Poor Support - Binoculars and Scopes

Can't say what we think of this scope yet, but overall it looks good. Doesn't look cheap. The only drawback so far is the support. Jumell offers very poor support. In other words: no support. The telescope is supplied without instructions. You need to go to the site and download this guide, which is pretty thin. We had great difficulties with the red dot finder. It comes with a battery but as there is no explanation how to use it it seemed to be broken. We haven't seen the red dot anywhere. We…

z100 acceptance test completed

My first impression is a bit like an old CT-100. This domestically made visor, which cost nearly three times as much, was made in the early 1980s. The supplied eyepieces are excellent, high performance, Kellner eyepieces - 17mm and 10mm types. The focuser needs some reliability, and collimation suffers when quality eyepieces are used. My vision of the find will probably drive up the price, so I just don't go there. The provisions at the base of the sight allow you to put not only the tube…

I chose this instead of Celestron FirstScope

. For the record, I'm a total novice. I did a lot of research before getting one of these. When I stumbled across r/dontbuyapowerseeker I was very confused when I got it. From what I've learned through research, Dobsonians are the way to go. It's the best value for money and this particular model doesn't deviate from that. When I bought it, I also bought a Celestron FirstScope. I decided to test both to see what works best for me. Both are fantastic telescopes for beginners. However, FirstScope
