Can't win for money!

One of the most used knives in my kitchen! And for the price it can't be beat. I use this 5.5. and 3.5 all the time and love them. They hold the blade very well and are well balanced for a knife with a plastic handle. You will never reach the same weight as a more expensive knife, but that's not the goal when you buy this type of knife. I'm not that big of a fan of their large (7.5 I think) chef's knives; Then you can really feel the difference in a weighted grip. However, this purple 5.5 inch…

DANGEROUS KNIFE but decent inexpensive everyday knife

I like the size and the handle. I use it as an intermediate size with my chef's knife and paring knife. A handy size for medium-sized tasks - slicing pineapples, slicing hard cheeses, etc. Certainly suitable for basic tasks for the price. After all, I still buy the higher quality version in this size. BIG Complaint: The damn case is an ER visit waiting in the wings. It is very tight fitting, making it difficult to put on or take off. Worse, cutouts allow you to cut off parts of your fingers if…

Best non-grocery store knife for the money.

When I started cooking more for myself to eat healthier, I needed a way to chop cabbage and supermarket knives were no good for that. They were too short and couldn't get sharp enough to make the task any easier. The Zyliss is the perfect knife for those who want to start cooking for themselves but aren't a pro and aren't willing to invest in one of those kitchen knives that cost $100 or more. If you're just cooking for one or two people, you still don't need anything that can cut through a tin

Slice and dice!

I've been using Henkel knives for decades. I came across this knife on a cooking channel YouTube video. It's larger than a paring knife but smaller than a real chef's knife. And the blade is incredibly sharp. Effortlessly cuts romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, chicken breasts. I don't use a sheath and threw it away thinking it was a bit difficult to maneuver the knife inside and out and that in itself might cut my hand. Depending on how you store your knives, you may need a separate knife…

My favorite knife! - Knife sets

This is the best! I've bought one for every kitchen I visit and give them away as gifts. In fact, I usually keep extras so that when people comment I can give them one right away! I have another in my van and camping gear, well protected with covers. The knife is surprisingly sharp, hardly ever dulls and can be sharpened easily. The size and shape are perfect for versatile use - if I only had one knife, this would definitely be it. It's well balanced, thick enough not to hit your knuckles…

Great knife! Impressive quality for the price.

I am by no means a professional chef and have never had the money to buy expensive fancy knives because I am a financially independent college student living on scholarships and loans. Aside from my personal experience with knives, this is one of the best knives I've ever used. I cook a lot and chop a lot of vegetables about 4 or 5 times a week. It sharpens very well and holds an edge well - much better than other knives I have in my drawer! It slices tomatoes without crushing them, slices…

Sharp and good in boxed knife sets

This knife is sharp but like any other knife it needs to be looked after. I haven't seen rust on my knife like others, but I know what caused the rust. on a knife. Rust will also appear on other knives, whether expensive or not, if you repeatedly wash the knife in the dishwasher. A dishwasher is nice and practical for the home, but don't overload it with stainless steel or other metal cookware. The dishwasher has a water cycle that rinses and washes your dishes and uses steam at the end of the…

Bought several of these knives.

We purchased a ZYLISS 3 3/4 inch Serrated Stainless Steel Paring Knife, Red, from Revain.com Services LLC for $8.32. In fact, I've purchased this particular knife twice over the course of several months as detailed below. Also have purchased a ZYLISS paring knife with sheath, 3.5" stainless steel blade, green, from the same seller 3 times over a period of about 5 years. This is an excellent knife. We have purchased 2 knives of this style from this brand and have had ours Loved the green…
