To be honest, this product has a really bad reputation. I needed a 17mm deep well head. Up until this point I had been working with older tools, so I figured a deeper socket meant the hex went deeper. You know, like every old deep socket I have. nope The hexagon ends at the top. This is just to increase the range from the outside, which is stupid because I have extensions for that.

I gave a gift 5 stars but if you give someone an outlet don't be surprised if they give you a duster! This is the master socket. It is designed for a ⅜ drive ratchet and an 8mm hex. I bought this flare because it was cheap and I knew I would trim the flare to make a "deep well 1/2 1". /2 shallow nest because my shoals are too shallow and the pits are too deep.
