As long as everything works as it should, right?

Four stars because the gasket from the kit burst when installing it on the EGR valve body. The EGR valve itself is in perfect condition. There is no more light. Apparently, this is the only worthy replacement for half-ton four-wheel drive cars. gvw is important.

  • Absolutely amazing!

This valve fitted without modification and the seal was not damaged.

The EGR valve fixed the check engine light on my truck. For years before the original EGR valve failed, my truck wobbled under light throttle. Since I replaced the original with this valve, the check engine light and vibration have gone.

Leaking Diaphragm: Body Repair Tools

Bought the part with "scratches and dents" discount here. No scratches, no dents, but apparently the membrane was faulty. I didn't know before how to check if that holds a vacuum by pressing the vacuum port with your finger after squeezing the membrane. I originally diagnosed this part as a problem on my truck, but the problems continued. After rebuilding the TBI, replacing the EGR vacuum solenoid and replacing the spark plugs, I went back to test this part and decided it was bad.

Valve well made but

This is a well built valve but further investigation shows it is a relief valve which will not fit most GM 87-95 TBI trucks that use "vacuum " were delivered. Cars often used the positive type. Before I discovered this, the truck ran worse after installing Delphi, confusing me. I disconnected the EGR vacuum hose and it was working fine again, hence the investigation as to why. Although the Delphi catalog shows this # is correct, ACDelco shows two different types for my 1988 Suburban so I…

Doesn't work for my 94 GMC Yukon

Installed on my 94 GMC 5.7. This solved the lack of acceleration problem, but whenever I started the truck would trip and almost die. I read on a trucking forum that someone had the same issue and recommended ACDelco 214-5073. I returned the EG10099 and received the ACDelco and the truck runs like new. The EG10099's vacuum port looks like a normal port; the one on 214-5073 looks like a regular port only the hole is the size of a hole so there is a physical difference but both say they fit the…
