If you are looking for a real fingerprint reader lock this is not for you, if you are looking for a cool fingerprint lock to play with then this is for you. This lock is not fingerprint sensitive, it is only skin sensitive. While it opens when you place your finger on the lock ID scanner, it also opens with any other part of your body that has skin on it. I used my nose, elbow, knuckles, hand, etc. Not a real/legal "fingerprint" ID lock. Don't be fooled like me.

Setup was very easy, took me less than 30 seconds after reading the brief instructions. I asked someone else to check the fingerprints and they couldn't unlock it. It's very responsive. In terms of strength I can only speak to the quality of the lock, it feels very heavy and strong despite being quite thin. I'm very satisfied and this lock is handy in the gym because I don't have the key to the lock with me and I risk losing it or remembering the combination and forgetting it.

Used on a camping trip to lock our trailer for storage. I thought it would be nice to know how often I get in and out of the trailer. However, when camping, your hands often get sweaty, dirty or clammy. The scanner does not tolerate any of these inconsistencies. On average, I spent more time standing at the trailer door trying to pick the lock than getting what I needed out of the trailer.
