Good replacement no problems so far.

Same as OEM, NOT IDENTICAL. Screwed, no problem. At the same time, I swapped out the motor mount next to it for easier assembly. The power steering pump lines do NOT need to be disconnected, don't be an idiot, you can do it in your garage.

Failed fairly quickly

Damper mechanism failed after about 3.5 years and possibly 30,000 miles. The cocking lever began to vibrate, squeak and rumble wildly at idle. Was expecting a longer lifespan, but oh well. Decided to try an OEM part this time, not much larger than this one. Your mileage may (literally) vary.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Good Excellent as Original Parts

My 2002 CRV started to rattle this clutch on the engine. When purchased, it is identical to the original. Many shops only change the rotor because it makes noise and also because of the speed. It's better to ask to change everything, because the spring that pulls the pulley gets tired and doesn't stretch as it should. Now I feel that the car has more power in the air conditioning and also when walking.

Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great OEM replacement on my 2006 Honda CRV

This tensioner looks and feels like an OEM Honda and replaced the OEM tensioner with a 140K. Installation without product failure can be tricky and I would definitely recommend having a really long 14mm wrench to loosen the tension on the belt. The rear bolt is a problem on a 2006 CRV and either the pulley on the tensioner needs to be removed or you can remove the top motor mount like I did. Overall I'm happy with the quality of the part, but keep in mind it's not fun. Work.

Gates box with Litens part

I was surprised when I opened the box and found a Litens tensioner inside. Internet searches have shown that this COULD be broadcast, but there is no definitive information. I hope the seller responds as I want to KNOW I am receiving a Gates product. I also found - in an online post - that Litens is an OEM part, but one source is not very satisfactory. If I knew I had to get a part from Litens (that Gates sells Litens under its own name) I would give this product five stars.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not the best OEM quality in engine parts

I'm giving this one an extra star simply because of the OEM price difference to Honda but other than that it's just another aftermarket part in my opinion. Buy another tensioner in the future, spend money on the original one now. My fiancee's 2007 Accord has 284,000 miles on the original tensioner, this replacement has lasted less than 2 years and 30,000 miles from her long commute and couples trip. I am a Honda Master Technician with 13 years of experience and it is very rare that I have to…

Didn't get a Gates/Litens tensioner. Shame on Raven.

Someone had the guts to replace the Gates tensioner with an untitled fake dirty information sheet and sent it back to Amazon. I was a victim on the receiving end. Returned immediately. This was at a time when my belt and power steering pump had already been removed. Revane thought it was a very brilliant idea to send the customer an open box with the part specified without even checking the contents. I am extremely disappointed and absolutely frustrated with Amazon's tactic EDIT: Reordered…

Excellent quality. Installed without any complaints on the 12 CR-V

Outstanding quality. Installed flawlessly on 12 CR-Vs. This setup was pretty easy. The coolant reservoir was simply pulled up and tossed aside. There is no need to remove the rod or plastic screen to access the underside of the straps. We loosen the tensioner with a 14 wrench to remove the belt. A pulley was attached to this tensioner with two bolts that had to be removed first. 3 screws hold the tensioner. One bottom left, middle and one bottom right, al 12mm. The lower left had to be removed…
