So far, so good! c Steering and suspension tools

To be installed in the driver's seat lower ball joint. Honda will NOT ONLY sell the lower ball joint. They want you to spend over $250 on a whole new wheel assembly. They have a very high quality Astro Master ball joint removal kit and a set of about 10 other Harbor Freight receivers. The old Honda pivot is easy to remove and the Moog installs easily with a 1/2" impact wrench. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE ABS SENSOR from the wheel assembly. Instead, disconnect it from the orange connector nextโ€ฆ

Not suitable. 2006 Krv. Too small!

Installed in my 2006 crv. Not just hitting the hole but setting it up with a ball joint press went in with very little effort. I thought it might be in my head so I finished the install and when I lowered the car back to the ground the ball joint popped out of the knuckle again. Either the ball joints are out of spec or the Moog is poorly designed. At the very least, they should be redesigned to use the locking ring as a backup. Since they're on sale right now, I'd say that if you install them,

However, I can't beat Moog.

For 2005 Honda CR-V 4WD: five stars for product quality and fitment into the shifter slot. Four stars because it was a 1.583 diameter compared to the OEM 1.59 diameter, so it slid too easily into the slot attached to the skid plate with just a hammer (no pressure needed) even though it didn't have a C-clamp A pre-groove for one that I ended up just needing to get the thing tight enough in the groove so I had to buy another ball joint ($21!) that came with a C-clip for use at Moog shows noโ€ฆ

ENSURE YOU FIND THE "INBOARD " MARK BEFORE INSTALLATION

I'm new to the auto shop but have pressed in a couple of ball joints - never a Moog. I'm working on a 2005 Honda CRV AWD as a YouTube project and wanted to test the Moog ball joint in one of my steering knuckles to make sure they are as reliable as the Chinese ball joint I put in my other steering knuckle. . There was only one problem: I DID NOT UNDERSTAND YOU NEED TO ALIGN THE MUG JOINT! There were no instructions in my packaging. The only possibility I found was that the ball joint was pushed

Fits like a glove! Solid and well made

Yes, I would look to Moog before anyone else. Bargain given the cost of a brand new factory spindle assembly (the thing that holds the wheel bearing/hub and bolts to the lower brace (shock)). In this app (CR-V 2nd generation) read the barely legible orientation mark/lettering cast on a dark/black dust boot ("inside" means side facing the engine) and "simple" the Squeeze out the factory connector and use something like the beefy C-clamp that comes with the adapters (and you'll need additionalโ€ฆ
