Holds wrenches very well

It took me a while to decide on this tool after reading previous reviews of various tools. I had to remove twelve 8" cleats from the bottom of the bike that had been there for over 41 years. I tried heat, double nut, vise and nothing. came out with a 12 inch breakbar and backbone. One broke off on the block but that shows the thing held up well. I'll probably never use it again, but I know it will be ready when the need arises.

The best tool I've bought in a long time

I bought this to remove broken exhaust manifold studs that were severely stuck. You hold the chrome part and twist the black end counter-clockwise. Eventually the friction of the jaws against the bolt is enough to keep the body from rotating. Then you just keep turning the black part and it will get tighter and tighter on the bolt until it finally comes loose. To remove the bolt, place the black part in a vise and turn the chrome hex with a large adjustable wrench. The pin comes out with noโ€ฆ

Effective and impressive!

Did exactly what I needed. Removed old studs from my 1999 Chevy 5.7 exhaust manifold. The vise wasn't good, and the little hex head on the lugs was just rounded. Once tightened, this tool pulled out easily. I haven't even tried the effect. I just turned it with a box wrench. I was amazed at how little damage he did to the studs! Judging by my vise, the one on the left was a man. Otherwise, as you can see, everything is fine. Yes there were small marks on the carving but nothing that couldn't be

Perfect Water Pump Shear Bolt Retrieval Tool

This shop iron bolt extractor saved me a lot of time removing a shear bolt from my water pump/motor. When I tightened the bolt with a socket wrench attached to a metal tube, it sheared off the bolt. Luckily, I was still able to remove the water pump, exposing enough of the remaining screw to remove. I searched the internet for the phrase "Stuck Bolt Water Pump". A video I found shows how to use a bolt extractor. I then ordered the Revain Shop Iron Metal Stud Remover. A day after it arrived Iโ€ฆ

Tool worked great no problems

Used to remove a bolt from an exhaust manifold blowing air through the end. The tool worked great without any problems. Be careful though, as it is self-tightening, you may find that the bobby pin gets stuck in the jaws. It should also be noted that this removal method destroys the thread on the bolt. I tried removing the removed bolt using a pipe wrench on the body of the tool and a box wrench on the side of the bolt and it wouldn't budge. So (here's your warning) I put the percussion gun onโ€ฆ

My new best friend! - Wrench

Great tool, if you don't have this tool when replacing Ford 4.6/5.4 exhaust manifolds you may regret it. After last time I did this project using extractors, weld nuts, heat, penetrants and every other tool I could find in my shop. I bought one of these to use on an Expedition exhaust manifold. There's not much you can do to cut off rusted nuts, but once you've got them and the distributor off, this tool makes everything else easy. Instead of trying the bare top of the studs before removing the

Amazing tool! Saved me over โ‚ฌ200!

I have a loosened bolt on my intake manifold. I went from mechanic to mechanic asking them what I need to do to find out. Because of the location, people told me it had to be drilled, I had to weld a nut to it, etc. Everyone pretty much said I was SOL and there wasn't a single tool to get the bolt out. When I asked them what they thought of this instrument, they laughed. I saw some videos online and decided to give it a try. Before that I treated the screw with PB penetrating lubricant mixedโ€ฆ
