False Advertising: Rough Plumbing

Advertised to work with any tank water heater. However, it does not work with heat sink water heaters. Most modern tank-type instantaneous water heaters have built-in heat traps. There is no documentation about it and I only discovered it after installing it. Now I have paid for the pump, the installation work and now the dismantling work. The manufacturer didn't even try to justify himself, let alone apologize.

EASY to install and excellent product

This is an excellent product. Very easy to install. For the installation you only need a pipe wrench to remove the cold water supply screw connection. The easiest way to connect is to purchase the SharkBite 22441LF 3/4-inch FNPT SharkBite available from Revain. Installation took about an hour. Hopefully you have an outlet near the hot water tank. The pump runs on a timer, always on or off. Hot water is available at any faucet without having to wait for the gallons of cold water that are on the…

I like the circulation pump

I like the circulation pump. It quickly delivers hot water to the point of use and I would give it five stars if it weren't for the touch valve that comes with it. The big disadvantage of the built in timer in the pump is that you have to take a shower or something. Use hot water as soon as you get it. Because depending on the climate you are in, your pipes and the water in them can get cold quickly, wasting money and energy. I put the pump on my own timer. If you can find a pump without it…

On the second day, stop spinning.

I bought this pump a few months ago but didn't have a chance to install it until last week. The first day the fin seemed to work and I had warm/hot water on the tap in 1020 seconds (up from 60 seconds before). Although I heard the sound of the pump and the water running through the house. On the second day I ran out of fast warm/hot water and checked the pump. I understand that the pump is not working. I was finally able to contact PREMIERH2O customer service (480-675-7995) and help me check…

False advertising. Will not work with some water heaters.

This product will not work with new water heaters that have heat trap nipples. I called Watts and a customer service representative. confirmed it. Nowhere in the Watt documentation that comes with the pump is this mentioned, and more importantly, nowhere in the Revain description is this mentioned. I installed this product according to the instructions and when it didn't work it took some research to determine the problem. I've also spent quite a bit of time looking for a workaround and there…

Convenience and Economy

Without a circulation pump, with the faucet or shower running, it can take up to 5 minutes for hot water to reach our upstairs master bathroom. After about 6 weeks of use, I have to say that I am very satisfied with it. I've set a timer to turn on from 5am to 11am and 5pm to 11pm, but it also alternates between turning on for 15 minutes and turning off for 15 minutes at those times . So far I have not waited more than a few seconds for hot water. I haven't seen a full monthly water bill with a…

Ah Relief!: Rough Plumbing

Our house is quite old, and despite the new water heater, even lukewarm water reached our kitchen sink in about 4+ minutes. . It's been wasteful and frustrating for over 40 YEARS! When I saw this product I knew I had to try it. I'm so glad I did. I did the installation myself with basic tools and no plumbing experience. All the necessary parts were included and it helped that there was an outlet next to the heater. Two suggestions: 1) There was no need to turn off the water heater and drain it…

Less water loss and hot water (almost) on demand.

Easy to install but the timer is a bit dated. When I tried to do my part during a drought, a friend recommended it. I was struggling to figure out how it could circulate water without a separate return line, but a close examination of the online manual revealed that it relies on a simple 'sensor' to pump water back through the cold water line to the hot water tank. It installed quickly, but I would make the following suggestions. Do not try to turn off the faucets under the sink when installing

NOT COMPATIBLE with all water heaters - check first!

Installation in our new home was easy. However, the water does not get any hotter than that. Thanks to the Revain community members who tried to help me because I thought I had a bad sensor. But that's not the case. After several days of phone calls between WATTS and Rheem (the manufacturer of our water heater) I was told by WATTS that this pump is not compatible with all makes/models of water heaters. They are new specifically for my model and the pump didn't work. However, they don't mention…
