Great carbs. Difficult to install.

Fits a 160cc lawnmower. There are 4 gaskets and a gasket block that fit over 2 long bolts that go through the base of the air cleaner and thread into the engine block. It takes some very skilled fingers and a lot of swearing to assemble an air cleaner base with screws, crankcase breather, gaskets, spacer, carburetor, throttle plate, kill switch and automatic choke all lined up and bolted to the engine, not to mention the fuel line. After all this, the engine started from the second jolt and…

Saved a pack to make it myself!

If your gaskets are in good condition, this carburetor will be a real challenge. (If you also need shims there are other options that come with replacement shims.) An absolute asset for Honda AUTO choke mower repairs. Installation takes a few minutes and my once-battered lawnmower caught fire on the first pull. With a little tweaking (eliminating the extra voltage on the regulator due to my lawn mower's problems) my lawn mower is now running like new! Great product, would buy again although I'm

True OEM. Runs like clockwork

My Homelite washing machine with Honda GCV-160 engine started hopping under pressure. After some troubleshooting, I decided to replace the carburetor rather than rebuild it. Aside from some fiddling with shim alignment during installation, it was an easy project and now it's working great again. This carburetor (16100-Z0L-853) does not have a plastic holder that holds the choke. Not a big issue, but just so you know. I decided to clean the old carburetor for a spare. When I opened it up it was…

It's probably AUTHENTIC, worst, generic, crappy and last but not least its

sorry i hate to do this but that little honda carberer motor didn't work. As soon as I put it on I assumed I realized it was new, I'm not sure if it wasn't new or defective because after hooking it up to my Honda mower which was a rebranded Troybilt (tb130xp ) the mower has a GCV160 and it is compatible but back to what I said. After a few seconds, all the gas I put in has blown out and landed on the floor. All of this could have been avoided if it had had a 'seal' to ensure it didn't happen…

works best in fuel system

Arrived on time and in good condition. Honda GCV160 mower engine runs like new. It's poor design and harder to install than it should be (even for a professional mechanic). Do not mix up seals and multiple seals! Make sure the finger operating the choke lever is in the right place as you juggle the bolts, washers, washers and throttle linkage. PS Replace the air filter before buying a new carburetor. The symptoms of clogged carburetor air passages and a dirty air filter are very similar. These…

I had to replace. Always quick and helpful answers, even on weekends and in the evenings. Carb shipped and arrived quickly. Installed the carburetor in 30 minutes, 15 of which just stood and watched how easy it was to remove and replace the carburetor. I've also wondered how retail garages can give estimates over $180 and still be looking at themselves in the mirror the next day. The carburetor fired and the mower started straight away and has been running great ever since. The replacement…

FINALLY DONE RIGHT

I am grateful for the information provided here by other users on this Honda carburetor. I had a Troy-Bilt 542 mower with a GCV 160A engine. Like most here, I have issues with ethanol based fuels. I'm tired of looking for the right part at Troy Bilt parts houses and B-Bay stores. After ordering at least 4 carburetors that did not have the plastic pin that engages when the throttle is pulled back to allow the mower to start. A big thank you to AMAZON for the feedback that is needed from the…

Works great and is easy to replace.

. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the replacement is. On my particular lawnmower, there are only two bolts holding the carburetor in place. They go through the air filter assembly so that should come loose as well. The only real problem I had was that I couldn't see past the air cleaner assembly until I ripped the carb off the engine, photo attached. I'm not a mechanic and couldn't find the actual names of the parts in question, so I named them Bob and Todd. Essentially, since you're…

The lawnmower started immediately and runs like new. A Few Tips

I have a lawnmower with a GVC160-LAO and this fits perfectly. Contrary to the picture I received, there was a pin sticking out of the choke lever, making it work perfectly with the auto-off throttle on my lawnmower. It took me about 20 minutes to get dressed. The mower started on the first pull and runs like new. A few Tipps. Do not "remove" the screws that attach it to the engine. Loosen them completely so they don't catch on the threads in the holes in the motor, but do not remove them…
