Review on Briggs & Stratton 795027 Fuel Tank Cap: Perfect fit for 134400 L-Head Engines, 7-12.5 HP Vertical Engines by Robert Dabney

Will not fit the threads or fuel inlet on my B&S engine as this cap is intended to replace an older model. Gasoline drips around it no matter how hard I try to set it. The cast threads are obviously higher pitched than the original cap and not deep enough to engage enough threads on the neck to tighten the cap. Since the original OEM cap is no longer available I'm going to squirt a drop of RTV in the bottom of the throat canal and hope for the best, but to be on the safe side I can only fill my tank about 3/4 full now. less when mowing slopes.
