Easy to use lock (also to change desired combination). This is a good deterrent for checked baggage or simply to prevent accidental opening of zips - be it baggage or backpacks. (Although it would still be easy for a thief to pick.) I had one of these locks for at least 10 years and it disappeared on my last trip (I think TSA opened my bag as their note was in it but didn't Do it). don't forget to close the lock and it fell off.) Used for luggage on planes and worked fine. My only concern is that I can't see the numbers clearly due to the silver sheen to unlock them in certain lighting conditions. These locks are great! I had to return the one with the flexpad because it was difficult to keep the lock open when fitting a new combination and so I was locked out of my own padlock. They have a U-shaped fastener that is strong and easy to twist to install. If you can't hold it down long enough to set up a new combo, just start with the default 0-0-0. Very cheap design and I couldn't set the combination of numbers because the grid where the numbers are lined up is so blurry you can't find it.
