Professional adjustment at a great price

Need a wider neck but shorter grip that's adjustable for tight spots and you've found it. Bahco is a well-known brand that is part of the Snap-On group of companies. Adjustable is well built, grips firmly without loosening. The hole size is measured from the side if you need to know what size wrench is required. It's physically etched into the metal so it won't wear away over time like laser engraving does.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Almost never

The steel particles are packed in an adjustable mechanism.

This Bacho 8" Adjustable Wrench arrived at my door with metal dust and particles. (If you look at a grinder in a shop, take the metal dust underneath, oil it up, then put it in the wrench). That's exactly how it was. I couldn't turn the worm wheel with my fingers. The wrench arrived so full of this junk I was sad. I used a can of WD-40 to blast the metal shavings. The wrench is adjustable now, but I can't get all the sand out. I've never bought a crescent wrench that has so many things in it. I

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Has some quirks

Made in Spain. Have been buying tools from Bahco for years. I've always liked the quality. This wrench doesn't seem to be as tight on the sponge as the old Swedish made ones. Jaw crackles when shaken. The metal surface is different from the old keys. The rubber grip appears to be almost identical. I like that the jaws open so wide and are quite narrow, allowing you to get into tighter spots than most wrenches will allow. Used it on fixtures for a mini split air conditioner recently and worked…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

(not) buy this tool!

Update: After about my first favorite month this key broke today. Less than a year later! Today I pulled a wrench out of my pocket and my jaw just popped out! I usually keep it in one of my side pockets, but today I left it in my back pocket. I must have sat on it weirdly, but still incredibly sad that this key didn't even last 6 months. As an apprentice locksmith in my freshman year, I was trying to figure out which tools were good to have on hand. my husband and what's best left in the gang's

Use it every day at work for a year.

I love this key. Working as an engineer, I carried adjustable equipment with me every day. I carry a brand 10 crescent. It had more leverage and a wider opening than the 8" or 6" course. But she was heavy. I started working on the plant last year and everyone was wearing one of these little guys. They open 1 5/8 inches. That's a lot for an 8-inch adjustable wheel and that's the main reason it's so great. Also, the toes of the boots are only 7/32 thick, you can fit this girl in pretty tight…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
