Attention! This item is NOT AWG. I bought an 8 gauge set and upon inspection found that it is actually closer to 12 gauge. This company distorts their sensors on the wiring. I'm an electrician and if I were to use this on an amp that requires an 8 gauge primary wire it would probably set my car on fire because the fuse they supply is too high for the actual wire gauge. This cable is not 4 gauge cable. The wire I received can be seen in the center of the image above. The wire on the left is 4 gauge Rockford Fosgate wire and the right wire is 8 gauge Rockford Fosgate wire. The wire that Boss sells is more like 6 gauge wire housed in a 4 gauge case. Pros: Cables were long enough for my double cab with the battery on the left and the subwoofer on the right under the back seat, and enough cable if I wanted to move it to the back of the seat. Cons: Me dropped the fuse holder 2 feet and the bracket broke. This was NOT copper and NOT 8 AWG but copper plated aluminum which is way too small. This must be disclosed and the maximum current must be stated for safety reasons!
