I must have gotten a defective device. It could not be fully charged and was immediately discharged. Turned on the glowing red copper port. Took it off just before it started a fire, or worse, an explosion. Put in my 20 year old capacitor which still works fine but only at 1 farad. Sent back for a refund. Maybe the positive reviews are fake or I got a defective product.

I'm not sure if it's a quality product or not because BOSS has always been a budget brand, not a quality brand. Time will tell but I can say it arrived as advertised and so far I'm very impressed. So I first bought an 8 farad capacitor. I don't like how they mix a bunch of different capacitors on one product page as most of the negative reviews are for lower end capacitors. 8 Farad works so well and for the money it's the best value.
