Garbage! Low quality metal. Break the ends! (fall off!)

Clips and stands are made of inferior metal. The end of one of the spacers snapped off trying to get the useless clamps to work. The clips must be spring steel to force the clip into the attachment point slot, but they are soft metal that will not hold its shape. Yes, you can bend them into your desired shape, but they bend back quickly.

Good value jack

This is the third set I have bought from this brand - all for different BMWs - and they are excellent value for money. Comment on clips/mounts? Several reviews have commented on their lack of quality. Although the mounting points aren't machined as perfectly as the OEM and the clips aren't as strong, they work well. I spent about 30 seconds with each pair of pliers to adjust the curves and they fit just enough to get the job done. PRO TIP: If your auto diagnostic and repair skills aren't…

  • Hands free operation

Some modifications are required for customization.

In general, they appear to be quality products, but there are two main problems.1. The clips that attached the cylinder to the body struts did not snap into place. If there was lateral pressure, they would immediately slip off. Not sure if the thickness is wrong or if they were bent in transit. I ended up cleaning and using the clips from the old part. Not a big deal, but kind of a pain.2. On the passenger side pillar is a plastic bracket that attaches to the washer spray wand and the cable…

Keep the original OEM mounting clips!

Compared to the cost of Original BMW parts, this is a fraction of the cost. This was the main reason for the purchase and that it is a low tech product that may not be OEM. I just installed them in about 30 minutes. They work well when first installed and we'll see how long they last. The original OEM pair lasted 20 years! The stands themselves appear to be decently made. Oddly enough, it's the 5 cent metal clips holding them in place that don't work! Poor clip design will render replacements…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not the best

The product does not meet BMW quality level. The BMW column is solidly constructed. The piston part has a threaded hole that is OEM welded. Also, the clamps hold the post over the eyelet and match the car: cheap, non-functional, doesn't fit and is easy to knock off. I had to remove the clips from the regular part and attach these. Then they grabbed each other to stand still. Shock length is not the same as OEM. The "windscreen washer reservoir holder" had to be "attached" to it. So no direct…
