NON POE+ network adapter

I use them to power WiFi (Aruba) devices. The last 2 devices I bought resulted in a solid red LED indicating the device is supplying POE power and NOT POE+. Also, POE+ is not listed anywhere on the device itself, only in the Revain listing. So my guess is that this device (or maybe devices released in the last year) is actually NOT POE+ and offers good old POE. I have 3 old devices that work fine and the last 2 don't work as POE+.

Sold as a high quality high power PoE injector but it sucks

I bought this product to power a Cisco 2802i Wireless Access Point. I will not! They claim this device can deliver 30 watts, but the Cisco 2802i requires 26.1 watts nominally and this device DOES NOT deliver. I hate it when manufacturers make false claims about the capabilities of their products. As far as I know, that's crap. If you want a crappy Poe injector that can deliver some power, fine, buy one and roll the dice. I would recommend you buy from a seller who doesn't make outlandish claims

No more BV-Tech or POE depot for me.

I bought a BV-Tech 4-Port POE Switch from POE Depot. A few months later he died. I sent it in for a warranty replacement at my expense. They received it on October 9th and still haven't sent a replacement. I bought this single POE injector from BV-Tech because I needed to connect at least one security camera and was no longer sure I would be able to get my replacement POE switch from them anytime. soon. The nozzle arrived DEFECTIVE. No POE output. No POE LED. I've now spent a total of about $70

Works Great - Network Adapter

Let's address the issues first. The BV-Tech Gigabit Power Over Ethernet PoE+ Injector runs hot to hot. You should pay attention to this when setting up. It says gigabit but it never really happened so be careful not to hit your high limit. Now the good things; Currently used to power EnGenius EWS377AP WiFi 6 Indoor 802.11ax 4x4 Managed Wireless Access Point. Works 24/7 with no problems. price and execution. You really can't go wrong.

Surprisingly good and reliable - see review why

I need a POE injector for a POE security camera it's good on the bill so I have it in a heated garage installed to power the camera. She survived one of the coldest winters ever here and never missed it. It's indoors but fully heated so the temperature dropped to -30 degrees Fahrenheit overnight and that wasn't a problem. I'm really pleasantly surprised at how reliable it is. We'll see how he handles the heat, it was pretty hot last summer but not as hot as it could be. Install it right and itโ€ฆ

Good value if they last more than two years

I bought two of these units two years ago and installed them in a 24/7 IP camera room. Each 30W unit supplies a POE splitter with three IP cameras with an average power of 6W. Total continuous consumption is approximately 18 watts. I used Kill-A-Watt to measure. One finally failed after 24 months, but both are making some noise. I don't recall ever hearing this noise before so I'll be careful and replace both of them with something more reliable in the near future. I would buy them again ifโ€ฆ

Simple, light and works well

I now have two of these units which I use to power an outdoor Foscam IP camera and a Ruckus wireless hotspot. I have a small 8 port switch with 4 PoE ports, but the switch can only deliver 30W, which limits me to two Foscams. Since discovering this, I now prefer to use these separate PoE injectors - it's easier to add new PoE devices with them than buying a much larger and more expensive PoE switch. A PoE injector is as simple as a simple power supply - just plug it in and it works. The powerโ€ฆ

This PoE seems very good for the application it is intended for.

My rating is based solely on my situation and probably has nothing to do with actual PoE capabilities and performance in intended use. However, it didn't work as I had hoped. I'm not familiar with PoE in general and had to look up information on my existing one which I use for power and a fixed wireless antenna on my roof. I've attached a picture of the existing PoE I was trying to replace. Now with all of this in mind I couldn't find the information I needed so I had to extrapolate what Iโ€ฆ

Amazingly strong actor!

I bought two of these, one for a production chamber outside of our home (the POE injector is in the barn, this unit is indoors only), the other for my desk so I can use it can set up a stand to test your POE cameras without owning an expensive POE switch. As a POE injector it worked great. My production block has been running 24/7 and under load for a little over 2 months, the second has been on and off duty for about a month. Pros: - Blocks have key locks on both sides. In other words, theyโ€ฆ
